Chapter 0 - A Gaze into the Future
The emotions radiating from his intense stare stunned me to the core. Here I was in the bedroom of my personal trainer feeling completely blissful as Adonis has his strong, chocolate arms protectively wrapped around me – this grown sexy ass man. I finally stopped gazing into his passion-filled eyes, my own automatically dropping to his juicy, full lips. My heart echoed in my chest once he smiles. Fuck! He’s so damn perfect. I have never in my twenty-four years ever felt anything like this before. Even being involved with someone for nine of those years, I’ve never felt this type of love from anyone else.
“I love you baby girl.”, his deep, demanding voice says as he reached down and palmed my ass. He continues, “You’re so fucking beautiful.” He places sweet kisses all around my face. His smell—purely masculine. His touch soft and so fucking intense at the same time. “I can’t wait to make love to you, baby girl.”, he says grazing his touch toward to bottom of my short, black bodycon dress. He continues to whisper things to me as his big hands explore my curves.
He brings his attention to my breasts that are spilled over the cups of my bra. His movements are sure and desperate at the same time. It’s now that I realize that I have never in my life felt as loved and confident as I do in this very moment. Ever. I muster up the concentration to speak. “You’ve changed me.”, I spoke weakly as I squeezed his arm. Tracing over the lines of his tattoos, I decide to continue, “I never thought we would be here.” I paused dropping my gaze to the floor momentary.
He stops what he is doing and lets me finish gathering my thoughts. I breathe in his scent. I love his cologne. I slide my gaze back to his and continue, “You taught me how to love, how to be loved, and most importantly how to love myself.” My eyes began to brim with tears of passion. I visualized my past self at only six months ago.
I visualized the insecure, two hundred pounds me. The me that was in a relationship with the first and only person to have shown me any interest at all since high school. The me who had been lied to and cheated on for nine years. The me who put on façade and chose to act masculine to shield myself from the pain, hurt, and despair that I was feeling every single day. The suicidal me. “I’m a completely different woman than I was when we met half a year ago.” He brought me into a tight embrace and the tears began to flow freely.
“You showed me that I deserved happiness. You gave me beauty and confidence. You give me so much peace and whenever I’m with you, I feel like I’m in a dream.” I sniffle.
He loosens his hold on me and begins to speak, “You did it all yourself, baby girl.”, he says brings his lips to my cheeks and kissed my tears. I exhale deeply. His lips feel so fucking soft. “You made me fall for you – hard.”, he continues. “I don’t think I quite expected this either, but I’m so happy it happened. You make it easy. You make life easy and simple. I’m so proud of you, baby girl.”
“I love you, Adonis Jeremiah Reed.” I proudly admit aloud for the first time.
He squeezes me tightly and with the biggest smile exclaims, “I love you too, Caitlynn Michelle Jacobs.” This ignites something within us, and we make sweet, passionate love for the first time.
