Chapter 1

She wandered the forest, treading lightly. She was frustrated with herself for losing that rabbit to Pack Territory. So she went for the default, berries.

Clutching her woven endwood basket she pressed through the brambles. The thorns clung to her already torn red hood as she entered the berry patch. Leaves and twigs lodged themselves into her raven hair and the pale in her skin was dotted with red of her wounds. Her red eyes scanned the rocks below spotting vines under a patch of pebbles. Her eyes, seen as an omen of a death from the god of chaos Konton, lead to many unfortunate events in her life including her becoming a banished wolfe.

She sat down on her knees and set the basket down. She tenderly lifted the vines, someone untrained in the flora of the Eastwood would assume the pebbles would fall but luckily she was trained as the vines lifted the tough skinned berries. They were of a grey color and blended in with pebbles below. Bould berries were best for seasoning meat. She cut the berries off of the vine and tossed them in.

She then dusted off her dark grey dress as she looked in between the leaves for the soft green berries, Gomush berries. Gomush berries are soft in texture and green in color but a cool cyan spot could reveal its location. Gomush berries are perfect for open wounds and stomachaches. She had just grabbed a few for her cuts when she heard the soft rustle of leaves.

CRACK!

Wood and..other wolves?! A pack wolf!

She sniffed the air as she jumped up. She snagged her basket and ran into the bushes, tearing more scratches into her arms. She gained ground and scampered up a tree using the high ground to jump from branch to branch.

As she ran she spotted a pale green vine with white blooms, Endersheer vine! Perfect for masking scents. She snatched it and paused at the tree as she tied it around her waist. She waited quietly.

“I know you're hiding berry wolfe. Come out!” A rough stoic voice called out. It was almost laughable how much one could tell he was trying to be warm but his voice did not match.

If he can smell through the vine..he must be an Alpha or of Alpha blood.

She thought as she climbed down the tree. She was met face to face with a tall man about two times her height. His face was stoic and his skin a pale olive. His eyes were a pale purple with dashes of blue. His hair was messy and a midnight blue.

“Who are you?” She asked, her voice was cold but airy.

“Reko Ochitsuita, Alpha of the Ochitsuita Pack. Now. Who are you?"

An Alpha?! Oh Gods!

"Akira, Banished Wolfe of the...Mizu Pack." I reluctantly say.

"Well Akira; you have plant smarts. Our Pack Alchemist is about to retire.." He hummed.

"And this has to do with me why?" I retorted grabbing my messy raven braid.

"You are coming with me Banished Wolfe. You are to serve as the Pack Apprentice to the Alchemist, failure to do so will cause death." He demanded.

"How about tomorrow? I live near the Mizu river and the Endwood Forest." I responded coyly walking away.

He smirked and turned the other way, assumingly to the Pack of Peace and Blood, Ochitsuita.
