1. The Small Town Girl
There was a girl who lived in a small part of a town call TikTok Valley. She is 21 years old and lives on her own. Her name is Elley. Every week day, Elley has the same routine. She wakes up, makes her breakfast, brushes her teeth, gets dressed, and leaves to go for her job. Elley teaches at a middle school on Meme Avenue. Meme Avenue is also located in TikTok Valley. It’s just further away from Elley’s home. After a long day at work, Elley goes house hunting for a different home because she has a weird gut feeling about her three neighbors. When Elley gets home from a non successful job at house hunting; She watches her neighbors from across the street. She notices that every night they each bring 2 kids around Elley’s age into their houses. It was odd because all three neighbors would bring those kids around the same time. Elley would still continue to watch, and she would see those kids leaving each house traumatized. She wondered what they had been doing to the kids to have them leave the way they did. Elley had always wanted to go to each house so she could get a closer look at what was going on, but never had the courage to. The lady that lived directly beside Elley’s house was the last one to bring in a kid. The kid wasn’t in her house for as long as the other kids were because that kid came running out of the house towards Elley’s house. Elley was breathing heavily as the man was running closer to her front door. She didn’t know if she should let him in, hide, or lock him out. Two seconds later, the lady that lives next door started running after him. Elley had finally made up her mind. She was going to let the man in and lock the crazy next door lady out. Elley counts to 5, and by the time she does the man is pounding on her door with the lady about 3 feet behind him. Elley let’s him in and immediately shuts the door behind him while locking it. Elley asks him if he’s okay, but he doesn’t respond. He just grabs her wrist and runs with her to hide behind her kitchen counter. Elley says, “Are you going to answer my question now?” The man shakes his head and covers Elley’s mouth. Elley removes his hand and says, “Hey! You touch me again, and you’ll learn why you shouldn’t do it.” The man surrenders and the room goes silent. They hear pounding at the door and an angry lady screaming, “Let me in or kicking down the door!” The man asks Elley where her back door was. Elley leads him there, and they make a run for it. The crazy lady is still yelling. Elley and the man are still running through her backyard for somewhere to hide. The two of them found a place to hide, and everything went silent. Elley and the man were sitting there hiding and not moving a muscle. They heard footsteps coming toward them, and they just assumed that it was a squirrel. Elley then realized something and whispered to the man, “Those footsteps are too heavy to be coming from a squirrel.” The man finally says something and goes, “You’re right.” The man and Elley both hear a slightly familiar voice say, “You’re both right. I’m not a squirrel, but guess again.” Elley and the man both look up. The person has them cornered. It takes all but a second for them to figure out who the person is.
