Chapter 1

Tick. Tick. Tick.

“Nothing ever happens in this town.” I dishearteningly said to the empty stale air of the gas station as I continued to listen to the generic looking clock hanging over on the wall.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

I breathe a sigh of relief, resting my chin in the palm of my hand waiting for something to happen.

And then...he walked in.

The bells above the door jingled causing me to stand up straight and focus on the man who just walked in. But he wasn’t just any ordinary guy. When he stepped in through the door, the florescent lights made him look even more alluring. And the light hit a little sliver piece of hardware on his chest making it gleam before my eyes.

“I wouldn’t say nothing.” He spoke, standing in the doorway. “You shouldn’t either.”

I stood up straight and cleared my throat before shrugging, “Whatever you say, Officer.”

He stepped up to me, closing the remaining space between us. The closer he got, the more he came into view. Every seemingly perfect feature. His angular jawline straight out of a Gillette shaving commercial. Soft blue-green eyes. Nose like a Greek God. And, may the Holy Spirit have mercy on your soul, those dimples, expertly punctuating his cheeks.

“Hi,” I said softly, afraid if I spoke to loud or suddenly that he’d disappear.

As he moved across the room I took it upon myself to admire his body. A hard and broad fine specimen seeming like he was carved out of stone.

He held himself like...sex comes to mind. The pure definition of sex. But not just any sex. Mind-blowing, passionate, and wild sex. The kind of sex you expect to get with the prospect of an one-night-stand. One of those nights of forgetting your name and all your problems as you lay on your back, starring up at some strange ceiling, it’s surface broad and white, with sweat-glistening skin, and the sounds of him pounding into you mixed with breathy moans and pants filling the entire room in a lascivious ambiance.

“The coffee should be fresh tonight.” I croaked out, my mouth suddenly running dry.

I knew what he wanted. Why he was here?

This is fine. I thought.

Taking quick steps over to the fountain drinks machine, I grabbed one of the cups and proceeded to fill it with Sprite.

I heard footsteps follow and stop behind me. “Do I make you nervous or something?”

I turned around, leaning up against the metal countertop. “Nervous? No.”

He took a step closer. “You sure?” He quipped, a smirk pulling at the corners of his lips.

“Why would I have to be nervous?”

Suddenly, something dark glazed over his eyes and he closed the remaining gap between us, encasing me in his arms with one on either side of me. He was soft and slow, albeit a little raspy, “I kind of like the idea, that after all this time, I can still render you speechless,” he spoke, his voice deep and lips close to my ear as he spoke every word. Every syllable driving me to the edge, awaiting release.

His hand moved from my shoulder, then down my arm, moving inwards and landing on my stomach. He traced his fingertips over my belly button through the soft fabric of my shirt before proceeded further South.

He cupped his hand over me through my jeans and I rolled my hips into his palm. Wanting him. Needing him.

“You want me to make you come?” He whispered huskily in my ear.

I felt his hard body press into me from behind.

I wanted this.

I wanted him.

I let my head lull back and rest a top his shoulder. Slowly, I looked at him from the corner of my eyes and than beyond.

Standing up straight, I walked over towards the display refrigerators.

I inhale a sharp breath when I felt the presence of him standing behind me.

Turning around, I met his gaze, only to see that he was close. Dangerously close.

Slowly, I stepped back with him stepping forward until I stopped. My back hit the cool glass of the display door.

He stood in front of me. His tall frame dominating over me and, in an instant, and snaked a hand around my waist, and kissed me. It was passionate and laced with the lustful undertones of someone who couldn’t get enough.

His hands moved to my thighs and he hiked me up to where my legs instinctively wrapped around his waist.

I felt his want for me press into me almost immediately.

My hands were pinned right above my head as he held them there and broke the kiss for a brief second.

“Are you sure you want this?” His voice, deep and raspy, reverberated within me, all the way down to my core, making the heat between my legs increase immensely.

He stood close to me. His hot breath tickled my face and I met his gaze. His steel gray eyes, holding lust, met my clear hazel ones. My voice was a breathy whisper when I found the courage to say, “yes, Officer.”
