Chapter 1 The Office Job
"Another boring day* yawns obnoxiously. Nothing ever changes, I've been stuck living in this shit whole city my whole life, same cars, same people, same jobs, what a drag!" Tyler sat up in bed and glanced out the window while picking up a pack of smokes and a lighter.
KNOCK KNOCK
(loud knocks echo from the door to the bedroom Tyler is sitting in)
"Tyler! WOOOOOORD TO TYLER! what are you doing man our work meeting is in 25 minutes why are you still in your room. LET'S GOOO." "Great just fucking perfect, when I thought I actually had a free minute", he muttered. Tyler grabs his hat,puts out cigarette,and rushes to the door.
The setting is a chilly Friday morning, it looks like Tyler forgot he had a important work meeting he had to attend to.
"Well would you look at this asshole." Tyler smirks and cracks a laugh while staring at isai's outfit. "What? I gotta dress in class so maybe the counter woman can give me a shot eh?" Isai replies but is quickly cut off. "Shot for what? Drinking yourself to death from depression when you look in the mirror? Sarcastically answered.
They took the stairs down out the apartment and headed to the car. The drive to the meeting was normal nothing unexpected other than isai's obsession with K-pop. "Some girls love this shit man I promise you, when I find her, she's gonna be all over me due to this sound track - isai
"Keep telling yourself that man" laughs Tyler
As they exit the car the doorman to the building smiles and says "feeling cold yet gentleman?" They ignore and walk inside past the man. (Inner thoughts of Tyler: every day I come here the guy always has to find a way to remind me he's a dick, shame he's a doorman for life😂)
isai yells at you "Tyler Tyler Tyler, always zoning off, c'mon man we gotta get to this meeting.
They approached the office the meeting was taking place and walked in only to be greeted by a full table and a lot of awkward stares.(Tyler's inner thoughts: Why am I always looked at like some form of disabled my God) they walk and take the two empty seats waiting for them at the end of the table.
Doors quickly open. "Good morning gentlemen, thank you all for showing up on time and making it to the meeting, we have a lot of important business to discuss, as you all know the marauder is still out there. Hes the reason all of the press all over the town will not shut up, they've been blasting us all over the news!" A big bulky man assumed to be chief or boss of your boss yells out.
"Tyler, Isai, I think this next part will be a lot of fun for you."
(Tyler's inner thoughts: shit how does this fat fuck even know my name, I've never seen him before in my life) he looks over and sees isai clearly a little shook
Isai: "but sir, you can't choose us for this mission we are undertrained please you must understand"
"Quiet kid, I wouldn't throw you to the wolves like that, I think I might have a lead on his whereabouts I just need some surveillance before hand and after reading y'all's files I think you'd be perfect for the case. Before I even mention that let me introduce myself, I am Mr. Riviera, i am the new chief, your old one has fallen ill and I have been chosen to take over for this sector for a while. Paperwork will be on the desk I expect you too to get to work immediately and be gone"
Isai and Tyler quickly get up and grab the paperwork to leave the office
"So this day gets better, now im thrown a surveillance job on a mass killer, but fuck it I got nothing going on let's just do it" Tyler mumbles and walks toward the elevator with isai.
