She placed her ice cold hands on either sides of his cheeks and pulled him closer.
He felt his breath shorten at her touch as always as she pulled him closer and began to place cotton soft kisses on his forehead, on his nose, on his eyes and his cheeks. Angel forced himself to not touch her, afraid that if he grazed his arms against her skin, she would fade and disappear into nowhere. Like everyone he knew.
Finally, she looked him in the eye and whispered, “Angel, only the person who is closest to you has the capability hurt you. No one else.” Her breath fell coolly on his cheeks as she whispered even more softly, “No one else.”
And then she fell.

- This is my first actual book, so the first few chapters are in dire need of editing and rewriting. But as it goes ahead, the book evolves and so does my writing, so please don’t give up on it.
- My writing style does get better over time. And I have written some scenes which I’m not proud of. So, when the book is finished, I would be deleting or changing some chapters. When the change is made or when the chapter is edited I would update the chapter’s name.
- To all the people who have been here since the beginning, this book was first called, ‘Her Fallen Angel’ which I later changed to ‘Merciless’. The covers have also been changed, but the final cover of the book will be uploaded when the book is finished as I’m editing it.
- Because of all the extra workload when I get at home, the updates won’t be regular. Sometimes I wouldn’t update for weeks and hence the updates would be slow. So I’m sorry, but I will try to update as soon as possible.
- Please DO NOT COPY MY WORK. ‘Merciless’ is my first book and I have put a lot of effort into the book. The work, the characters and the plot are solely mine, so please do not copy it.
