I didn't know about the crippling anxiety, the rapid cycle that would have me swinging like a pendulum between bouts of blinding mania and crippling depression. Do I ever wish that I could switch everything happening now for the boring, mediocre past that I once had? Not that I was "normal" before, I experienced my highs and lows, but good God, it was better than this. The events and characters in this book are purely fictional, and my creation. I just finished reading your story “It’s All in Your Head (Being Revamped)” and I loved it so much. Your writing is powerful, raw, and deeply nuanced delving into bipolar disorder, trauma, and BDSM with such emotional honesty that I found myself truly moved.I really loved the opening of Chapter One (“Naïvety”), where the protagonist first grapples with the dizzying swings between manic highs and crippling lows your metaphors of a pendulum swinging uncontrollably capture her inner turmoil so vividly. That roller‑coaster of emotion would be ideal for illustrated sequences showing shifts in mood through facial expression and visual tone. And later, when her identity is revealed to carry the weight of secrets depression, self‑harm, unspoken BDSM pasts the tension in her relationships becomes so palpable. Those intricate layers between her and her partner would translate beautifully into comic form, using visual contrast and panel pacing to embody emotional escalation and vulnerability.
