Apprentice Dragon

"Okay, I've only read the first chapter but there isn't a dragon or an apprentice. It helps to start with the main protagonist of your story first. I could be wrong though because I'm no expert wordsmith. Personally, I don't care much for vampires, but I can give this a passing grade, although I was confused about the swishing tail initially. Before using other descriptors, I've been told to let the reader know who and what exactly the character is meant to be. The story seems reasonable, but it needs a slight edit. I wonder whether that skin and blood cloud is a real D&D spell. Also, I've never heard of a Bodak. Gruesome stuff, nevertheless. And what is his alignment? A Lizardman vampire isn't chaotic evil? He's powerful enough to take down a Cleric and yet wants a shaky alliance instead? I'm currently working on my third D&D story and it's a dungeon run.
