The New Girl

Hazel P.O.V

I had forgotten to set my alarm again and I was enjoying my rest until I heard my Mom (Gloria) bang on the door "Hazel get your ass out of bed now, You will be late for school" Mom said. I groaned from rolling over in the bed "Okay Mom, I'm up" I quickly called back. I jumped out of bed and went straight into my bathroom to have a shower.

I came back out and looked at myself in the mirror. I had dark black hair with slightly tanned skin and Emerald green eyes that I had gotten from my grandmother which no one else in my family had. I smiled before running into my walk in wardrobe and grabbing my new white top that I had bought from top shop with my black skinny skins and my Nike Air which were a black and white mix. I applied minimal make up. I always found that I looked better with less than more.

I grabbed my bag that was in the corner of my room and bolted out my bedroom door and run downstairs to the kitchen to see my sister Alexa who is now 3 years old climbing the counter to get to the cookie jar.

"Princess what are you doing climbing the counter?" I said. "I'm trying to get my cookie haz" she said while giggling. I walked over to her and started to tickle her "ahh hazel stooooop iiiit please" She shouted out between her giggles. I smiled at her before putting her back on the ground and giving her a cookie. "Shhh don't tell mom Lex now go" I said while smiling

I had no idea why but I felt that today would be a good day. Little did I know today's the day I will discover things about myself that I never thought I would find out or feel.
