The Supernatural Hero

A hero can be defined as a savior or just practically an admired individual. Everyone from a child to an adult have a hero. Their hero can be ranged from a celebrity or character they saw on television, their family members, civil servants or even their friends and colleague. For some people, it could be someone abnormal. This story will show you what I mean and it starts right now.

In a modern world filled with science and technology, the existence of the supernatural and dangerous spiritual entity has been denied by everyone all around the globe. This causes the spirits to roam freely on earth and wreck havocs at their own will without anyone stopping them.

At a suburban home presumably located in United States of America, a teenage boy is seen tied to his bed. The boy seems hysterical as he is surrounded by his devastated family and a doctor. The doctor calms the boy down with a type of sedative before telling his family members that he is declared mentally ill. Before walking out of the room, the boy whispers a question towards his sister but the mother pulls her out of the room before she could answer. The next morning, the boy was discovered dead by his family members under abnormal circumstances. His skin is as pale as flour and he looks like he got his blood sucked dry by something. His death is reported as sudden death by the medical personnel to his family’s dismay.

In a stormy night, the mother griefs and sleep as he still thinks about his son. The electric starts to break down and a blackout soon happens. The family lights up their candles. Their daughter, Merissa, wasn’t able to sleep as the cloudy storms were loud and always nearby. Suddenly, a creek from her closet is heard. She screams in horror as a demonic entity is crawling out of her closet. Before the entity can get to her, it is mysteriously turned to dust by someone next to her. The person is clad in orange clothing and he introduced himself as Nicholas Nova, an exorcist. He quickly jumps out her window as her parent’s footsteps are heard. She closes her window right before her parents goes into the room.

The parents check on their daughter and she assures them she is fine. A knock is then heard at the front door and her father went to check out who it is. He goes to the front door wondering who would still wander at this time and weather. He opens the door and is greeted by a soaked mysterious individual. The father, Mr. Gunther, goes back to his daughter’s room and invites them to treat and converse with the mysterious individual. Merissa was shocked by the individual who turned out to be Nicholas. As her mother, Mrs. Hoffman, is preparing tea in the kitchen, Nicholas changes his soaked outfit with his backup outfit. He goes down to formally greet Merissa’s family with yet another clad in orange outfit.

They are later seen in the dining room, talking with each other and drinking tea. Merissa is very curious about the reason Nicholas visits them. Nicholas accepts her family’s invitation to spend the night there. As they went upstairs to continue their sleep, they left Merissa with Nicholas alone. She starts to question Nicholas about why he went to her family’s house. He explains that he is there to protect her and her family from the demonic entities residing in her home. In the process, he hopes to completely decimate the demons forever.

Suddenly, Merissa gasped as she sees a red-faced demon behind Nicholas. Before Nicholas can react, the demon disappears into thin air. Nicholas asks her to follow him as he investigates the house and detect where the demons gather. The investigation leads him to a rusted door leading to the empty basement. Before he opens the door, he advises Merissa to stick close to him at all time so he can protect her.

He recites some protective mantra before going into the basement with her. In there, it is obvious to Nicholas that all the demons are in here. He quickly escapes from the room with Merissa before the demons notice their presence. To ensure her family’s safety, he sticks some pages from his holy book to the door to lock them in there.

The next morning, Nicholas warns Merissa about the demonic entities in her home. He told her parents he’ll come again tonight before leaving. Merissa researches about Nicholas on the internet and she discovers that he is actually an immortal demi-god called Emilius. Even so, she wishes to know more about him.

That night, Nicholas returns and is now with his assistant, Junkai. He waits for Merissa’s parent to sleep before doing his exorcism. Before he starts, Merissa asked if the red demon took her brother’s life. To which Nicholas reply with “Yes”. She follows them into the basement and Junkai makes a big circle surrounding them with salt. Nicholas recites some mantra to call out the demons in the room. All of them show up both evil and hideous.

Nicholas advises her to stay inside the circle before stepping out of it with Junkai. Junkai trips and got thrown towards the wall. Before hitting the wall, Nicholas catches him mid air. Nicholas tosses a blessed silenced Cobra 47 pistol to Junkai. Nicholas on the other hand, wails a blessed katana. Well armed, they decimate the demons one by one.

Finally, the red faced demon shows up and tosses both Junkai and Nicholas towards the wall. The demon starts walking towards Merissa and it easily pass the circle. Before it got in hands on her, Nicholas tackles it and Junkai later holds it down with his whole energy. While Junkai holds the demon down. Nicholas opens his holy book and pages fly out of it all glowing with gold color. Junkai gets push by the demon and stops himself in time before bumping into Merissa. He brings a terrified Merissa behind Nicholas and puts up another holy circle again with salt added with holy water.

The pages stick into the demon’s body and covered it completely. Junkai reads some spells to bind the demon with chains before Nicholas reads a holy mantra to destroy the demon. As the demon is still trying to fight back, Merissa’s brother suddenly appear and stands in front of the demon. He puts his hand on the demon’s head and slowly the demon calms down. Her brother stares at them and gives them a smile before disappearing again. Nicholas reads his mantra again and this time, the demon explodes and turns into thin air.

As the battle ends, the three of them walked out of the basement. They look at the clock and it seems like the morning is about to arrive. Nicholas tells Merissa to calm down and assures her that nothing will disturb her family anymore.

Her parents walk down the stairs and greet them good morning. Nicholas and Junkai had a cup of coffee with them before leaving. Before he leaves, Merissa expresses her desire to see him again. Nicholas assures her he would come here again to hang out. Before sleeping in her room, Merissa thinks to herself about the question her older brother asked before his death. The question is, “Who is your hero?” . She thought to herself that her hero has already shown up and his name is Nicholas.
