The Beginning

The boy who had now become a man visited his father for the first time in 15 years in the insane asylum. The man stared his father down like a hawk as had mumbled backward a quote from a book called Renegade.

“The darkness had simply and utterly destroyed the light.”

The man told his father: “Remember that book you used to read to me at night.”

“The light had simply and utterly destroyed the darkness.” Is the correct quote.

His father ignored him as he repeated his version of the quote countless times.

Furious, the man walks out of the room as he tells his father ...

“I hope this place becomes your grave!”

That was the last time he ever saw his father.

The man with colorless eyes was very depressed and was on a personal quest to find his purpose in this world (his reason for life). The man’s biggest enemy was himself because he has wrestled with himself for most of his life. Memories from the past become a deadly poison as they pounced on him when he least expected it to. Words from critics throughout his life, written on him, bleed into his skin and become permanent tattoos he was forced to look at everyday. Frightened that more tattoos may be added to his collection, he isolated himself and banished himself to a life of loneliness. He tried his best not to be noticed and stayed away from all people. The only thing that brought him little but not enough comfort was the locket he received from his beloved deceased mother right before that INCIDENT. One day as he was walking down the chilly and quiet street’s of his gray little town; He felt a tug on the back of his long brown sweater.
