Prologue
Start writing here…Mummy, I cannot find my pen, any idea where it is!
“Oh, you must have forgotten it between the pages of any book.’
“Ok, I am trying to find it.”
Oh dear, when was the last time I picked up a book to study? Ummm….. During the exams, I suppose, after that I went on a vacation along with my friends. Oh yes! I remember DLD was my last paper. Where is it! Where is it! Where is it! Oh I cannot find this book now! Sometimes I am too angry at myself. What type of ‘Kayastha’ I am? A true ‘Kayastha’ love and keep the pen close to his heart, like the ‘Rajput’ whose bravery and sword are synonymous, like wise Kayastha and pen are synonymous. I had not even reached college on time. Thanks to dear Mother and her ongoing cleanliness projects my clothes are clean and neatly folded or else…I don’t even know how to fold clothes properly. Now there my book is! right under the table!!! Thank heavens; the pen is in here too.”
So my dear friends, if you believe in happy endings, then this story is not for you. This story is based on true events and the name, time and place has been changed and the purpose and essence of writing it will be understood at the end of the story itself.
