You sat 3 stools away. The bar was dimly lit, your hair was almost golden in the soft orange light. Sipping on a vodka orange you wrote in a scruffy looking brown leather journal.
You were wearing black ripped jeans, an orange T-shirt and a black denim jacket. As you reached for her drink, a rainbow handmade bracelet is exposed… Jackpot.
As I flirt gently with Heather, the woman behind the bar, I feel your eyes on me. “Another beer, and whatever the ladies having darling” I say softly to Heather, nodding my head toward you.
“Vodka Orange?” Heather asks, “yes” you say, turning to look at me “Denise, and you are?”
“Liv, short for Olivia.”
“Well thank you for the drink Olivia” you say... I hate being called Olivia.
”Call me Liv honey, Olivia makes me gag” You laugh gently and go back to your writing, sipping at your drink and looking up at me every few minutes as I continue to charm Heather, which I do every Wednesday night. But you don’t need to know that.
