The story is believable and the depth and growth of the characters allows the reader to be invested from the beginning. This is also a unique story, with the camera playing a very significant, and symbolic role in the story that can change the readers perspective of what is in a photo."

"I read to escape from reality, so I enjoy books like “Swamplandia” and “St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves.” I found that “Still Life” fits into that category – definitely outré. It is also in my favorite format: not too many characters, lots of dialog, and no unbelievably-larger-than-life action scenes. That enables me to see and hear those characters as if they were acting in a play inside my head."
