Prologue

"I never wanted this for you," he whispered as his blood dripped to the floor.

"No, but this is what I have become," her cold voice echoes throughout the quiet room. "This is what you made me."

He looked up into the eyes of his daughter and saw the monster that he created. She held no emotion in her dark silver eyes. No remorse and no kindness left. They were only hard and cold. He had slowly chipped away at the once kind girl he had known.

The woman that stood before him finally looked at the pitiful man she called father. He was groveling on the ground, she had defeated him. After years of being the one cowering in the corner, she became what he feared the most. She became the one thing he never wanted her to be.

She became stronger than him.

Authors Note

Okay, so I know this story is not going to be perfect and I doubt I get many reads. But, this idea got stuck in my head and I had to write it. As a proud bisexual reader I love Wattpad, but I have found it lacking in fantasy lgbtq+ stories. Especially ones with two strong female protagonists.

I have decided to share my idea. Even though I am terrified, I hope that whoever reads this will fall in love with Lyla and Avery as I have. If you have any ideas or suggestions just let me know, but please don't be mean.

I hope you enjoy the story. It will have some dark and violent themes, with the plot and Lyla's character there is no way around it.

I'm really curious to see where you're going with this! It sounds like such a nice story. I'm always looking to find good fantasy lgbtq+ stories. This seems very promising!

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me.
