Good first effort
"I am enjoying this story so far and will look for continuing chapters. Sometimes the writing seems a little heavy handed- could use with some editing for clarity- but overall I enjoy many of the turns of phrases and detailed descriptions. Generally I would not pick a book with a lot of F-bombs and misogynistic references, but I realize that that is setting those particular characters up (and perhaps for a fall) so I can look past that. I do realize that guys of a certain age and background have distinct ways of speaking, and so dialect and choice of words in their dialogue is an excellent way to reflect that in a book, rather than only lengthy descriptions of their background and upbringing. Perhaps it is more of a guy's book after all, but women enjoy a good bildungsroman adventure, too! Keep up the great writing Cobey"

"Keeps me wanting to read every minute. Haven't figured out yet where it's going. I like that. Very descriptive in his characterizations. Paints a portrait of the surroundings and weather. I would recommend this to readers from 14 to 80. "
South Park meets Mad Max and it’s still boring
"What the hell is this, South Park meets Mad Max? Only without anything funny or exciting? Also exceedingly sappy, ie....”that’s not your memory, it’s mine”. Puh-lease! I’m a girl that enjoys romance, action and fantasy novels but this story doesn’t rise to any of those levels. Back to the South Park analogy.... “Hey Butters, your Dad’s Porsche is pretty cool but you’re still a fucking weirdo!” Cartman: “Goddammit! Why do I gotta fix this car when all I wanna do is the slut” Stan: “You see, I learned something today...when you write a boring-ass book you piss people off!” "
