I could hear the screams of the wolves somewhere deep in my mind, I could always hear them but they were louder than ever before as if warning me that they will never leave no matter how far I go. All the memories were rushing back, maybe moving was a bad idea. It was too late to think about that now, the plane had already taken off and we would reach our destination in an hour.
"Hey, are you going to eat that sandwich?" Aria asked me and took the sandwich even though I didn't respond. She was in a good mood, she didn't seem to regret it and moving was her idea, why did I even listen to her.
"What?" She asked me, when she noticed me looking at her. I just shrugged, it didn't matter the decision was taken and nothing could be done.
"Regretting listening to me, huh," She asked me, while she pulled out her earphones. It wasn't a question, she knew what I was thinking about.
"Maybe, seriously how did you convince me? Did you drug me?" I asked her, while she ate the rest of my sandwich.
" If I had drugged you then it would have been strong enough to knock you out for the whole journey," She joked or I think she was joking, you can never be sure with her. She sighed when she noticed my expression and removed her seat belt and adjusted herself to face me properly.
"Nothing is going to happen and even if it does, we will handle it like we always do," She reassured me, her brown eyes almost sparkling while she gave me her devilish smile.
I was about to reason with her remind her about all the times we wouldn't handle it but it didn't matter, we are stronger now and negativity wasn't going to get as anywhere. So I just smiled at her.
"Put on it back on," I told her, pointing to her seat belt.
" As if a little turbulence is going to hurt me, what do you think I am, human?" She said in disbelief while she adjusted herself and continued watching her movie, making sure to not wear her seat belt to prove her point.
As soon as she did, the plane shook and she hit her head on the seat ahead of hers. Her eyes glistened dangerously showing her inner wolf warning me not to laugh but it just made me laugh harder. She scoffed at me and continued watching her movie acting as if nothing happened but the dent on the seat was proved otherwise.
I turned my head towards the window and watched the clouds feeling relaxed the sense of doom fading away as we reached closer to our destination.
