Say hello to the sun on the beach
“Crap”, that was the word I said when someone stabbed my hand with a two-foot pole someone was approaching this was bad very very bad. I was in pain, and I had just run three marathons. I had to run, but I did not want to lose my hand. Even after that, the pain struck me and I was bleeding out. I tried to steady my breathing to slow the blood flow but it was too late. I passed out from the agony, the huge loss of blood, and the fear of that thing flowing me and catching up.
Hi, my name is Peter and I’m going to be a student at the Olympie Academy. But first is summer and then is studying. Then there was the test to get into the school. But first came to the beach. I was going with my mom, sister, aunt, and cousins Max and Elizabeth. We were going to the long beach harbor to have a good time. We were going to look around, go shopping, swim in the ocean, then we were going out to eat,
This was going to be a carefree day, but the real reason we came here was for supplies for the test so It wasn’t all fun and games. It was hard to stay serious with the people when I usually go out to get good food for me and whoever is with me. Also the fact of the sea breeze hitting my face in such a way it felt like a warm hand, and like an old friend saying hi then comforting you. “ Peter are you okay.” my mom snapped me out of it “You know if you’re going to zone out don’t get in my way,” she said in frustration she was face first in her phone. I replied that she shouldn’t do that because she could drop her phone into the ocean but she ignored me because I was younger than her by the fraction of a month.
I was looking in the stores for a necklace or bracelet. I looked for an hour on end with no success. We went to the beach and I felt the wet sand on my feet. I felt the cool wet sand near the ocean on my feet. Then I put on the googles I had bought three days earlier. I put in my earplugs then I went into the water. I heard this part of this beach was shark-infested, but I pushed that fact away. Max was in front of me. I decided to get ahead by making a strategy a four-year-old would use. I would go underwater then pull ahead. Though when I went underwater I saw something. It was a ring, it was a pitch dark blue marble ring. My cousin didn’t seem to notice that I was falling behind, so I went deeper. I was about to grab the little beauty when I saw a figure in the water. It was too big to make out at once and way too fast. Soon I was frozen in fear, then I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was my cousin Max. He pointed up signaling that he wanted to surface. I followed him up, and we took a big relieving breath of air. When there was enough time resting he said “we should head back I’m tired”, then I replied “common we’ve gone further than this, plus I found something on the floor”, he took a long time thinking a whole five seconds” fine”, he said in irritation.
I swam back to the bottom, and I saw the ring. I started swimming in its direction as fast as I could. Then I was hit, almost tackled, by something. It hit hard, and to recuperate and process what was happening was just as painful as getting hit in the back. After that, I came to realize that I was being attacked by a shark. Before It could attack again I needed to get a breath of air then it hit again, but it felt different. The surface area it hit was thinner and it hit significantly harder. If I was being attacked by the same shark the area it hit would be the same. “There are multiple sharks,” I thought, “this was bad, my mom would kill me if she found out about this”, but I thought about how long I had been in the water. I thought maybe twelve seconds is how long I’ve been holding my breath, then I felt the sand on my feet in the water around me. I clenched my fist, then after counting the seconds until the time I had had been underwater, adding on the twelve seconds, I had been underwater for twenty-one seconds at most.
The reason why the sharks weren’t near me was that they couldn’t sense me because I wasn’t making any unneeded or drastic movements. I started to hissing out air the bubbles coming out of my mouth floated to the surface when I looked up and thought “those bubbles are going to a warning signal to my cousin”, I took my shot and got my clenched fist making sure that I was ready. Everything else was nothing but a distraction a nuisance. I was ready, as soon as the first shark came I would knock its head off. know the real fun begins, then I saw a figure it was the size of a child a maybe toddler? “Great! know I have to save a kid if the other shark comes by”, I had thought of a million scenarios. Worst case scenario another shark comes by and attacks the little kid and the best-case scenario is I save the kid without hurting the sharks. I got my fist and I punch one of the sharks, (and I know what you are all thinking "why are you insane!" but you'll see) when my fist meets the skin of the shark energy sparked out from my fist. The energy paralyzes the shark, and I swim to the surface to warn the kid about the sharks.
Then I realized that I left the ring I was so frustrated that I went back down. I searched for the murky water soon the ring was in hand, so I put it on. For some reason, I did not realize that I was out of the air that was in my lungs. I scrambled to the surface and took a deep breath of blessing air then swam after the kid.
