Chapter 1
The wind whipped my face as I ran, the glass had cut my feet as I’d jumped and the pavement was making it worse I felt the splinters of glass pushing deeper into my soles. I could smell the iron of my blood and the sweat but I couldn’t stop.
The road ahead of me looked endless but I’d come this far and there was no going back.
My heart started to pound as I saw headlights coming from behind me, this was it the end of the line. I couldn’t turn and look yet I couldn’t stop the high fencing to the side of me meant there was no where to turn, no one was coming to help me.
This was it I knew I wouldn’t survive this, not now I’d tried to run. The car pulled alongside me the drivers window open, I could only pray the ending was quick.
“Miss are you ok?” I stumbled, it was a voice I didn’t know and suddenly I felt my head hit the floor with a thud and everything went black.
