Prologue
Once upon a time there was a kingdom called Eleshar. The land was full of magic and beauty. But the new crowned king only saw the glory as a threat to his reign, for he was the only royal ever to be born without magic.
The new king banished all forms of magic. Magical creatures were hunted and killed; any Eleshan with magic abilities was executed.
When it was found out that the king had no magic, he was removed from the throne and disappeared. The land became dark, the people mere shadows on the earth. Over hundreds of years Eleshar rebuilt and grew, it’s magical past fading into legends.
Furious with the royals and their corrupt rule, Gaynell, a noble woman, dedicated her life to learning magic. She used her magic to elongate her life for a hundred years. It was then that Her cousin set out to destroy her. She saw him only as an arrogant palace brat and heir to the stolen throne than a friend or cousin and The prince was never seen again.
She sourounded herself with magic walls and guardians in an attempt to to stay in power. Yes there was a king and queen, but, should she choose, she had the power to force them to do whatever she demanded.
The one flaw to her rule was the threat of a girl. A relitive of the magicless king. She had seen it in the future, this girl would destroy her, unless the girls existence never came to be. It was the only way for all to be as it should once again.
