The Life Changing Day
Evelyn, 12 years old, was coughing, looking lifeless and drained of her energy. Her head burned like a fire. She laid on the bed, ready to sleep in the middle of the day when her dad explained that he was going to bring her to the hospital rmergency room. She had never been this sick in her life before and she was not scared because she was too numb by the discomfort.
At the hospital ER, they waited until they finally got a room. Hours went by and soon enough, it was 10:00 PM and the doctor explained that they were going to transfer them to a children’s hospital: Miller’s Women and Children’s Hospital located in Long Beach.
