Going to a trip :P

Zelk and his friend, Mega, were going to the Chesapeake Bay for a school project. While being in the car as Zelk drove, Mega was reading some information about the Chesapeake Bay.

“Well, you can say it goes through six states, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington D.C.”

“And?”Zelk sighed, they had to visit the place and take pictures for the project.

“And! That the place is home to more than 3,600 species of plants and animals! I wanna see them all!” To be honest, Zelk hasn’t seen Mega so happy in ages, so this pleased him. “Well, I’m gonna tell you more facts that I found, Zelk!” Then a pause then the rant started.

“It’s approximately 200 miles long! Also, It’s about 3.4 to 35 miles wide, it holds 15 trillions gallons of water!”

Mega grinned as he read these facts. “Listen we need these for our project, now listen! It’s fed by 50 major tributaries every day! Also, it contains more than 100,000 river streams! About 500 million pounds of seafood is harvested each year! Isn’t that interesting?” Mega asked Zelk as they parked so they could take a look at the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed.

“We’re here, I guess” Zelk smiled. They walked over to a sign. “Oi, look at this! It says that the Chesapeake Bay Watershed is the largest estuary in the US and the third-largest in the world. It covers 64,000 square miles. It also has 11,684 miles of shoreline, huh. That’s a lot of walking, do we have to walk that much, Mega” Zelk asked.

“No, sadly. We are only doing part of the Bay. Now take a picture of it so we can use it for our project! Also, it has a 14 to 1 land to water ratio! Takedown notes Zelk!”

Zelk sighed and said, “We should get walking then if we want to make it in time.”
