Ashley's Room

Giggling as she opened the door, Ashley grabbed her friend's hand and ran upstairs to her room. "So, how was your date last night with Doug?"

Heather sighed and flopped onto Ashley's bed. "Ohh, it was wonderful. He is the greatest guy and boyfriend in the whole world. I can't believe we've been dating now for 2yrs." The girls giggled and stayed up all night watching Netflix, talking about boys, and discussing their futures.

Even though Ashley is 17 years old and very happy for her friend; she just can't help but feel a little jealous of her too. How come Heather has this amazing star quarterback for a steady boyfriend and she has never even had a first date. She's liked a few boys here and there but none seemed to have "it". That spark, that little thing about them that could make her feel that they were boyfriend material and not just a guy friend.

"Wait," Ashley shakes her head to clear her mind. What did Heather just say, something about Doug having a friend from out of town that he and Heather were going to fix her up with on a blind date this Friday night. "How could they!" she thought. "Wait, who asked you to do that? I never asked you to fix me up with anyone, besides I don't even know him!" She yelled.

"Well, he's a cousin of Doug's and ..." Heather rattled on for over an hour praising this cousin of Doug's and begging Ashley to just give him a chance for her. Ashley's will begin to waiver until finally she sighed and said ok.

"But remember," Ashley laughed and said, "I'll kill you if this goes badly!"

Little did she know just how badly it all would go!
