Chapter 1

Rin's POV

I tapped my fang with the eraser of my pencil as I occasionally jotted down some notes. Today had gone by suuuuuper slow without someone to bicker with. You guessed it, Bon (You know what? I'll start calling him Ryuji, see how he reacts to that!) Ryuji wasn't in class today. It wasn't that I didn't like him, in fact it was the opposite. It was just fun to get in a friendly tussle with him every once in a while. But, as I said, today he wasn't in class so I was just itching to go run around like an idiot outside or do something else dumb like that.

Alas, I was stuck in this boring, dull, pointless, obnoxious class roo-

"Okumura! Were you even listening to a word I said?!" Shinozaki-sensei snapped at me.

I looked up at the call of my name and answered.

"Maybe? Maybe not?"

She rolled her eyes.

"Then answer me this Okumura-kun. What is the fatal verse of an imp?"

Wait! What's this?! For once, I actually knew this! Yay, I don't have to embarrass myself!

"O Lord my god, I have called to you for help and you have healed me!" I recited smoothly.

She looked mildly surprised.

"That's...correct. Good job Okumura-kun." With that, she resumed her lesson.

Thank you Yukio, for making me cram knowledge into my head. This knowledge was good for both the imps infesting my dorm once and this class! Oh, and if you've noticed, she calls me Okumura-Kun instead of Okumura-Chan, well, if you haven't picked up on it already, well...

Everyone's convinced I'm a boy.

Don't ask, just, please don't. It's a, kinda embarrassing really, story. Really? Okay, do you really want to know? Seriously? Ugh, fine. On the first day of school I had my rack bound down in case I got in a fight and I wore the boys uniform because the girls one was wayyyy too girly. As much as I like doctor who, fuck bow ties! (I'm a disgrace to Matt Smith, I know.) Finally, as for my hair, well it's always been short.

So, as you can see, not much I could do there when everyone assumed I was a boy. I just kinda went with it.

Sighing, I glanced at the clock. 30 more minutes of this hell, then I only have Yukio's class, and I'm done for the day! All of a sudden, the classroom door opened, derailing my train of thought. I turned my attention to classroom door and...two little kids walked in? Huh, wasn't expecting that one. Shinozaki-sensei walked up to them and crouched down to their level.

"Hello there! What are you two cuties doing in my classroom?" She asked sweetly.

Oh, I had almost forgotten she was great with kids. Ha, for a second I though she was going to scream at them or something. I probably would've smacked her for that to be honest because these kids were adorable! I kinda wanted to hug them.

"We're looking for our mommy. And maybe Daddy too." One of the kids, the girl, said.

"It's important that we find at least one of them soon." The boy said.

"I can probably help you. What are your names?"Shinozaki-sensei asked nicely.

"I'm Yui!" The girl cheered.

"My name is Takumi!" The boy replied cheerfully.

"And." Yui began.

"We're." Takumi continued.

"Twins!" They said together.

I had to suppress an awww at that because that's what Yukio and I used to do when we were younger.

"Aw, twins! That's pretty cool. I have a student who's the twin of one of the teachers here. His name is Rin. He's very nice, well, usually." Shinozaki-sensei told them.

"Hey! At least I try..." I muttered.

The kids, however, perked up at the sound of my voice. Yui locked eyes with me and nodded at Takumi. They ran over to me and tackled me out of my chair into a hug.

"Found you Mommy~!" They cheered.

I stared at the two of them in shock. What?!
