001.The Beginning Before The Beginning

The sun was rising, birds flying in the bright sky, while Hades laid in the grass taking the view, breathing the cold air of winter. The cold never bothered her seeing as she was a fire witch, which came in handy with Canadian winters. She could walk in the snow naked and her warm body temperature never failed to keep her warm.

If it weren't for the fact that she was bound to spend the rest of her life in the town's asylum, mornings like this would be magical.

A sound in the distant made Hades startle a little bit. She recognized what had interrupted her peaceful morning, it was the asylums alarm system. It was only ever used in the event that a patient escaped the facilities, and that brought a smile into her face. They were looking for her. They were always looking for her.

Hades took a deep breath and stood up, “I’m going,” she sighed, “isn't the alarm routing getting a little old?”

A tall man in a white doctors' coat came out from behind the trees, “And good morning to you too Catalina,” he responded, smiling at Hades while she made her way to him, “Beautiful day, but let’s go back to the warm of the cafeteria, I bet you’re starving.”

It was none other than Dr. Olmos, Hades adoptive father.

See, Hades case was a very peculiar one that no one in the town of Greenwood had ever seen. One of the most popular rumors were that at just four years of age she killed her step-father while learning how to use her powers. Another rumor was about how a serial killer on the loose killed him, and because of the trauma of it she couldn’t remember the culprits face. Nonetheless, the royal Lycans at the time along with the witches committee- called the Monarchs- decided she was a danger to the other supernatural creatures of the town and dropped her at the local asylum with no regards of her wellbeing or her family. Just wanting to get rid of a problem.

Dr. Rene Olmos had been working at the asylum for a few months before Hades was brought in. He was a mystery on his own, all anyone knew about him was that he never had kids of his own, so when he saw Hades, he felt a paternal protection over her and ever since then, she’s had him wrapped under her finger. That’s probably why she always got away with escaping from the facilities whenever she wanted with no repercussions.

And every one that worked in the asylum knew Hades wasn’t a danger to anybody but herself.

While making their way inside, Hades noticed a lot of commotion from afar, and she had a feeling it didn’t had to do with her morning routing, “What’s going on? This isn't because I went outside for some fresh air is it?” She asked Dr. Olmos, who looked more and more nervous as they got close to the asylum’s porch doors.

“No. We actually received a called this morning about an important visit.” He answered, avoiding eye contact with her.

Hades scanned Dr. Olmos face for any clues in his features, he was dragging the name of whoever was about to walk through the front doors and she didn’t like it one bit, “well, are you going to tell me who’s coming?”

Olmos hesitated for a second, not sure if it was a good idea to tell her or not, “Prince Zion.”
