"Dad! Your home already! Dad I've got a surprise for you" John said
"Sweetie, daddy has no time for that... Thing!.... I have to work" Said Dad
John is a seven year old child living with his dad For John, this was almost the same conversation he had with his dad every single time...
John's dad runs a very well-known business and is always busy, while John's mom died just a few years back... So John's dad was busier after that...
On a June afternoon, John's father came back early from work. John was delighted! He was happy until his father said " Son, I have to go to work again after 5 hours" John was devastated! For all he knew earlier, dad was going to stay home and leave in the morning... So john came up with an idea...
30 minutes later...
"Dad, I have a question." John said while eating dinner. " Sure son! What is it?" said his dad.
"Dad, are you happy with your work?" "Why of course I am! It's a dream of mine" "Oh, well how much money do you make dad?" "It's too complicated son, why do you ask?" "Nothing... Dad how much money do you make for half a day? I really wanna know!" "Oh uhh well i make 100 dollars a day" "Dad wait here, I have to go get something..."
The dad waited patiently for his son to come back...
After 10 minutes...
"Dad! Here's 75 dollars! I saved up money from the allowances you give me everyday! May you please take everything off your calendar and put my name on it? Please?..."
Dad was surprised! He was completely silent...
"Umm-yeah-uhh-sure- but John... You should've done this... I-i... I'm proud of you John... You are the best son ever... I love you so much..."
"It's ok dad! I wanna spend time with you..."
