Ava’s POV:

How could you do this, why did it have to be this way, I never asked for this. I was still looking at all the ice cream and since when can a decision be so damn hard I’ve been here for about 30 minutes and still haven’t made a choice I want all of them but I have to narrow down my choices so I did what any sane person would do in this time of food crisis I sang “why oh why my sweet ice-cream why did you have to do this to me don’t you know you’re so special to me but I must let you go” and I chose which ones to put back I looked around and as normal people were staring at me I just gave them the look of ‘what never seen a girl sing to ice-cream before? ’ I paid then headed back home.

I ran out the car to the house but like usual my life had to be so fucking hard I couldn’t reach the keys out of my pocket and worse of all was my babies were melting “hang on my babies mamma will put you in the freezer don’t worry I won’t let you melt” If you haven’t realized I’m a little insane but it’s normal I’ve always been like this I made it into the house just in time and carefully placed the ice-cream on the counter-top and just as I was about to open the freezer mom called me

“sugar can you come here we need to talk,” she said in a sweet voice I knew it was serious talk ‘ugh’ “but Mom,” I groan “no buts young lady get yourself in here now “fine,” I said like it was the end of the world

Mom, was sitting on the couch and by the look on her face, I knew I wasn’t going to like what she’s going to say “honey I’m just going to cut to the chase. You’re going to live with your aunt Mary for the year”

“WHAT! But Mom aunt Mary is in Australia”

“Yes, Hunny you’re going to live with aunt Mary I’m getting sent abroad for work so you’re going to live with aunt Mary. This is not up for discussion so I suggest you go and pack your bags you’re leaving for the airport tomorrow ”

" ugh fine just so you know I don’t like this idea” I stomped upstairs to pack

I forgot to introduce myself I’m Smith, Ava Smith see what I did there. I’m 17 years old and 5′5 I am quite fun well I’m fun all the time but I can be serious I know what you’re thinking I’m serious well you better believe it I have brown hair which I had blue and pink streaks dyed into it multi-colors eyes one brown and one blue and I live with my mom, my dad it out of the picture he was a street fighter but that just caused a huge problem he left us mom didn’t like his lifestyle and wouldn’t raise me by it but when he lived with us and boy it was fun I was a daddy’s girl but that changed but I’m not going to talk about it so here I am at Hunty’s doorstep waiting for him to open it

I heard a big bang from inside the house and I jumped then the door opened to reveal Hunter in all his glory he was 6′1 with brown hair green piercing eyes and of course muscles no no don’t think of us like that we aren’t a couple we aren’t friends with benefits he’s like a brother and my best and only friend we are crazy wherever we go even in school. And for you, lady’s he’s hot and single. Anywhoo I dove on him once the door was fully open. He had no warning but was used to it I wrapped my arms around his neck and legs around his torso

“hey,” he squeaked out “I love you and all but your crushing me to death” “oh sorry Hunter,” I said and released him but only a little bit and he took a dramatic breath.

“Mom told me I have to live with aunt Mary” I whine to him “What! How could your mom separate us were two peas in a pod” “I know but I have to live in Australia. I don’t want to go” I said pouting my lips and giving my puppy dog eyes. “I know I know but we will video chat and call and text each other” “but I don’t want to leave what if I’m lonely and nobody likes me what if something happens to me you won’t be there to save me”

“Nothing will happen to you and who couldn’t like you your so cute”

“thanks” I mumbled into his chest

“I know how about some ice-cream tones of chocolate and a marathon of American horror story,” he says

“yea that will be fun” I squeal

3 hours later and we crash only to be woken up by some annoying voice to wake up

“no... 10 more years” I mumble and go back to sleep

“no that’s not happening on my watch If you don’t get up I won’t talk to you for a week!”

“No!” I wake up yelling at the irritating voice who is Hunter.

“Ok let’s go to the airport but first we need to go to yours while you get in the shower. I’ll grab your clothes ”

20 minutes later we arrive at my home and set straight upstairs I go into my bathroom while Hunter picks my clothing out

While I’m in the shower I start singing ” if there’s something strange in the ba-a-th room who you gonna call? Shower man

If there’s something gone and you don’t know what to do what you gonna yell? Oh no! If you’re just getting out of the shower and need to get clothes where you gonna go? To your bedroom”

“hi,” Hunter said while holding back a laugh

“um... Hi... You heard that?”

“yea,” he said snickering

“Hey I heard that young man”

“Not my problem,” he said then left the room leaving me with the clothes he picked out it was a pair of high waist denim shorts a white belly top that stops right at the top of the shorts with a wolf on it my leather jacket and a checked shirt, a pair of tights and black high heeled boots I tied the shirt around my waist and brushed my hair into a side plat then grabbed my phone my suitcase and duffle bags and set off to the airport

“I’m going to miss you,” mom said

“I’ll miss you too”

“Hey what about me?” Hunter asked

“I’ll miss you most hunty. I’ll miss you most”

Then I set off to my new home for a year.
