“Utmost distinguished agents of Agents Force squadron, I, Senior Agent Vander commands both of you Special Agent Landher Segarra and Special Agent Marseille Harper to bring this very valuable chest to the king,” said Senior Agent Vander to me and to her.

“Yes sir!” we responded.

He gave the chest to my partner.

I really feel different about this woman but I didn’t disclose my uneasiness with her. I respected the decision of Mr. Vander but my impression won’t change the way I’ll internally treat her. “Together with Special Agent Harper,” he added,“Take this chest to His Highness just within this day or earlier. The inside of this chest contains what the king needs and you must do it together. Bring this chest to his Highness without being enthralled,” he added.

So this means I don’t have a choice but to work with her.

“I have a question Sir,” I coldly said, “Where can we get the key?”

It is still our responsibility to find the key since we are assigned to this and I’m not going to lock pick that thing unless I really needed to.

“Oh, the key!” he said while clicking his two fingers, “The key is with your-”

Bang!Bang!Bang!

There was a sudden consecutive fire from a gun which means the assassins are here. After the three shots Senior Agent almost fell to the ground with eyes open in disbelief and shock but I immediately caught him. My adrenaline rushed within me and I instantly reached for his wrist but I can no longer felt his pricking pulse.I guess the bullets directly hit the back of his head which made his death immediate. No assassins can perfectly perform that shot unless there is a sniper anywhere.

These assassins are after the chest that is why I needed to get out of this room quickly. I calmed myself as I tried to hide from one of the pillars in the room. I saw Agent Harper hiding in one of the pillars adjacent to me. I mouthed her to throw the chest to me which she immediately did. The throw was too much but I managed to catch it. That failure made up my mind. I won’t continue this operation with that dumb woman. She will only create a mess and surely would hinder me from achieving the mission. I’m very disappointed.

I and the assassins exchanged shots and I managed to take some of them down until a ridiculous idea came to me. However, I just can’t leave this woman alone because this fight might cause her death. If I’ll follow it, I can successfully deliver this chest to the king before the time. I took a glance at her state and it was so obvious that she is afraid of the gunshots. Instead of shooting the enemies, she raises her hands to cover her ears. She seemed to know nothing about this fight. I can’t take her with me because I need to protect this chest and I need to get out of this place as soon as possible. She is pissing me. How can a Super Agent fail in this battle?

“Psst! Psst!” I called her.

She uncovered her ears when she heard me. After that, I threw my other revolver towards her for safety.

“Use that agent fight, not hide” I coldly told her.

Tears suddenly swelled from her eyes, “ I-I c- can’t,” she uttered.

How can she become an agent if she doesn’t know how to fight? This is ridiculous. She might be fooling me around if so, I won’t be trapped in her crazy jokes.

“Stop pretending, Agent fight!” I said before I cautiously went out of the room.

“P-please d-don’t leave me!” I heard her earnestness before I took my last step from the room.

Ridiculous! I don’t understand her. How can Senior Vander assign that woman in this risky mission?

I ran swiftly going out of the building as the air brushed against my face. When I reached the basement I check for assassins. Luckily there were none.I drove my car towards the destination still careful of the assassins because they are just everywhere. I reached the guard station in a couple of hours for the checkpoint and I let the chest out.

“Where is the key?” the royal guard exclaimed.

Yes! I remembered the key but the Senior Agent wasn’t able to finish his statement because of the attack.

“I-I don’t have the key,”I said in failure. “Why did I forget the key?

“Where is Special Agent Harper?”asked the royal guard with fear in his eyes.”

Confusion suddenly overcame in me.

“She was left in the office because the assassins suddenly attack,” I answered but with no signs of regret. That woman can’t become an agent because she is coward.

“What?” he asked in a bad surprise.

“Why?” I confusedly asked.

“You need to save her agent, she has the key,”he begged and worried filled him.

My stomach unexpectedly turned, ”Why?”

The royal guard bowed his head while worriedly shake his head in disappointment.

“She is the princess.”

After I heard the statement my body suddenly numbed. My breath became rapid and irregular in front of him. What did he just said?

NO!

After I processed the unexpected statement,I shouted in misery and instantly went back to my car hoping that the princess is still alive. I stomped the accelerator pushing to its maximum speed. If something will happen to the princess it will be my fault and I can’t forgive myself, never.

I should have known that this would happen but I was too late. How can I be so insensitive? Too late and too careless and I hated myself because of that. I failed and I’m very sure of that. After a couple hours of misery, I reached the office. I no longer found any figure from the assassins which made me as nervous as dead. As I entered, fear had overcome me and my eyes instantly fell to the pillar where the princess was hiding. Where I left her to her death. Were I wasn't able to save her. The place were she met death.

“No!”I shouted.

I can no longer feel my legs,my mind, and my heart. The king trusted me to protect his daughter but I failed.

“If I only trusted her,” I said as a single tear fell from my eye, “She wouldn’t die.”
