A Guide to the 'Eyes
In the world of Meora, there are humans and there are ’Eyes. The ’Eyes are another human species, and are called ’Eyes because their eyes change colour when using their powers.
They are eight different kinds of ’Eyes, each with very different powers. They each have an Animal of Power, an animal they can summon which is enhanced with their power. The animal fights alongside them.
Fire-Eyes
Description: They are the most common species and have the power of fire. They are often seen burning villages together with Sky-Eyes. Commonly they will have red, orange or brown hair and enjoy hot climates. Their eyes glow a fiery orange-red.
Powers: Fire breath, heatwave (sending a burning wave of heat to an enemy)
Animal of Power: Phoenix.
Sky-Eyes
Description: The second most common species, with feathered wings on their backs and bird talons for feet. They like to grab their victims in their talons and haul them up to the sky. They prefer mountainous climates but will venture further. Their eyes glow yellow.
Powers: Electricity, static fields (a field of static electricity), wind, gravity (can change the gravity).
Animal of Power: Eagle.
Storm-Eyes
Description: They tend to live in deep sea caverns, to see one on land is rare. They almost always have long flowing hair and people sometimes mistake them for mermaids when they’re swimming. Their eyes glow blue.
Powers: Water, storms, lightning, wind.
Animal of Power: Shark.
Dark-Eyes
Description: A deeply feared race, one which holds the pure power of darkness. Once they were guardians of the night’s sky, until corrupted by something unknown. They have black hair and a dark aura surrounding them. If you are injured by one, the injury will have black smoke clouding from it. The Dark-Eye’s infection will slowly eat away at your body and you will be dead within an hour. Their eyes glow a black-dark green colour.
Powers: Decay of plants, sickness and illness, death, darkness

Green-Eyes
Description: Once an earth guardian, now corrupted by something unknown. They spill radiation wherever they go. They are referred to as looking like zombies or ghouls. Their eyes glow green.
Powers: Radiation, energy
Animal of Power: Any animal they can find and corrupt with their radiation.
Sun-Eyes
Description: Extremely powerful— to be avoided at all costs. Once, long ago they were the guardian of happiness and fertility. But then a foolish King tried to turn the world into a solar wasteland, the Eye of Sol had to be used to defeat him. Their eyes glow a white-yellow colour.

Animal of Power: Griffin
Moon-Eyes
Description: Extremely powerful— to be avoided at all costs. Long ago they guarded nature and peace. But a Queen didn’t enjoy it, and used her powers to create a toxic jungle where no one could live. The Eye of Lune was used against her and she was destroyed. Their eyes glow purple.

Eternal-Eyes
Description: The legend of the Eternal-Eyes has been passed down centuries. Whether they existed or not is still up to debate. Legends says they were peaceful and harmonious guardians who were more powerful than the Moon-Eyes and Sun-Eyes. Their eyes glowed pink.
Powers: Stars, space, love, harmony.
