While we are waiting to stop this pandemic, companies and businesses must have a contingency plan to carry out office operations (even not in full) regardless of any phenomena that can take place.
There have been reports and studies that after this world’s terrifying moment, most of the affected countries will suffer from an economic crisis. Many governments have already implemented country lock-down resulting in the biggest to small scale businesses’ operations to shut down for a moment - making everyone impossible to interact and communicate to each other or to the boss.
It is not hard nowadays as many companies use modern softwares like Social Media Apps to continue the flow of work communication. Whether an employee is in a different room on the same floor, different floor of the building, in a different country or even only at our different houses, we are using social media apps to interact with each other. We have the “Workplace” on Facebook, “Huddles” in Flashat, Skype Meetings, Messaging in WhatsApp, Zoom Web Calls and many more apps to be used.
In situations like these, breaking of work communication and operation is something that companies already anticipated. Looking at the positive side of bringing Corona to our daily lives, we may likely have an opportunity to create a captivating and interesting digital remote work environment for everyone that is more engaging, participatory, and full of human connection with contexts, and contacts that we’ve ever done before.
