Overture
(Track 1)
Lights up. A pale brunette man in jeans, a white dress shirt, and red velvet vest stands alone on downstage center with a spotlight over him. The rest of the stage is fairly dark but still visible. Smoke is on stage, cue music as shadows are shown in the background. Music picks up, shadow monsters come out from the Juliet's. Dressed in black robes. The young man begins to sing, hands behind his back, a pained expression on his face. With a slightly cockney accent.
Long ago, I went to war. To fight the scourge of Christendom! I held aloft my blessed sword and said: "By God, let them come!"
He revealed a sword out from behind him and looked back at the demons behind him, then back to the audience as more demons come down the isles. Red spotlights are shown throughout the theatre.
They said their eyes are red as flames. I heard it told, from Hell they came! Their breath is fire, their tongues are forked thus are the beasts of Dragon's Gate.
He moved upstage to the center as the demons began to circle him. He lifts his sword up into the air with his left arm. A projection of God on the back of the stage.
I heard my father's words deep in my heart.
God: Son, know your enemy as I know my son.
God disappears, whole theatre should be lit in a dim deep red lighting. All of the shadow monsters exit except for one in the center.
The fates were kind, they let me in. The dragon's lair: the den of sin. I placed my sword upon it's heart and with a prayer; I thrusted in.
The man does as the lyrics imply. The cloak drops revealing a beautiful woman in a red dress holding a baby. Laying on the ground dead, the baby who is still alive begins to cry. The man falls to his knees in shock, tears beginning to form.
The dragon fell upon the ground. 'Twas then, I heard a whimpering sound. A baby girl to her mother clung who only fought to protect her young.
Transition, lady exits, baby is off stage, the man is now down stage left and a girl with long brunette hair (can be any natural color but NOT blonde or any color that you cannot be born with.), dressed in black with a cross necklace and cross earrings with silver rings up her ears, Sword in hand, enters from stage right stairs, walking down as the man sings with spotlight on her. The stage is like it was at the beginning of the number. Shadows re-enter except a girl in a long black dress and tiara is hung up on the cross like a crucifixion. (Preferably brown or black hair, dyed colors are acceptable but NO BLONDES)
Now, the girl is off to war. To fight the new scourge of Christendom! She holds aloft her cursed sword and says:
Girl: (spoken)
Dad, let them come!
Sword is the same one the man had used. He is disgusted to even speak of it.
She swears their eyes are red as flames, and heard it told from Hell they came! Their breath is fire, their tongues are forked thus are the men of Muslim faith.
She massacres all of the demons, in an almost psychotic manner, seemingly enjoying it.
Hear your father clear deep in your heart. Know your enemy as I...
Blackout. The man comes center stage with a spotlight on him.
Would have them know... my young.
Music plays off. The man sighs with his eyes closed before looking around the theatre, seeming surprised.
Oh wait, can you see and hear me? Sorry, I'm not used to humans being able to hear me, I apologize. I failed to properly introduce myself. My name's Jack, I'm a ghost.
He bowed as the lights came up, they were now in a middle class house. The girl who fought at the end of the song enters.
Jack:
Ah, Christina-Mary! Perfect timing!
She freezes
Jack:
This, is my (clears throat) daughter. Christina, also known as Mary!
(Unfreezes)
What are you so excited about?
Christina:
I'm finally going to be born on Earth! As the baby girl of the Clemmingtons!
Jack:
Ah, the Clemmingtons.
Spotlight on a family in the isles. Middle aged blonde tan Caucasian mother, bald Caucasian father with a biker mustache, covered in tattoos and has a gun on his belt. A teenage boy, and two younger boys. The middle one appearing slightly chubby. The mother was reading them a story while the dad had the teen up against the wall.
Jack:
Delly and Mark Clemington, and their three sons: Francis, Angelo, and... ugh. Winston.
He sighed before smiling at her.
Good luck.
Blackout.
