The Broken Glass
In the year 3028 there is a society that lives in a dome and nobody enters or leaves, because they fear the outside world. Ever since the world exploded there leaders, The Grand Council had told them that they float in void space. Society is trapped in a bubble and cannot leave no matter how curious, but The Grand Council had destroyed curiosity and emotions that they thought were negative decades ago. They did it to stop people from expressing themselves along with leaving there society and starting more war at least that is what they told themselves, The Grand Council changed something in the human genetic code in the brain too stop emotions but made it reversible for certain jobs.
That was the first lie they told to society. Before I continue I want you to meet someone special her name is Raven, she has the highest academic level in her school it has been that way since she was in kindergarten. In a week on her thirteenth birthday she will be assigned her job from The Grand Council, like the other kids.
Every day Raven walks home from school with her friends because it is a law, it was put in place just in case one of them tripped on a rock or something and one of the children could go get help. "Hey Raven are you excited to be assigned your job next week?" questioned Nova, Raven cheerfully replied with "i'm not excited... i'm enraptured!" Nova is Raven's best friend. After the two girls parted and set home to there family's Raven started her dinner once her parents came home, at the same time as always.
Raven's mother Anastasia had a secretive personalty, well I guess it was in her job as the head council secret keeper. She had long black hair, pale skin with these deep blue eye's that whenever you looked into them you could tell they kept secrets. Raven's father Zyaire was a cheery man and had a bleach blonde look with these luxurious green eyes along with semi tan skin, while on the other hand Raven looked more like her mother with midnight black hair, pale skin and blue eye's but she had her fathers smarts he was a brilliant scientist who passed his life's research onto Raven hoping she would become one some day. Deep down her father knew the chances in that are slim even if she had the highest academic level in her school.
While Raven and her family were eating at the dinner table she felt the most foreign emotion to her, she felt it after a glass fell off the table and shattering into oblivion without anyone touching it. The emotions pull grew with every passing minute and thought. She asked her self.. what is this feeling that is begging me to figure out what happened to the glass?
"Raven honey are you alright? You seem pale" asked Anastasia, "Yeah sweetie don't worry it was only a glass it is okay if you broke it" stated Zyaire. Raven shook the feeling off and quoted "mother, father i'm fine thanks for asking I guess i'm a little tired." "Oh honey no need to worry you can go to bed as soon as you finish your supper" declared Anastasia. After Raven finished her supper she ran upstairs and went to bed, but once she was in bed she couldn't sleep, all she could think about was the glass... The Broken Glass.
