Summary

"Promise, you'll never forget" "I won't, Nev" "How could we forget, Eva?" "We promise, Angel..." These words played through my head for six years. Now that I've started my final year of high school, I'll keep my head down and do what must be done to finish. 'Nothing will change if I just keep focused' Or so I thought... ------------------ Nevaeh Bennett is your average girl. No, she isn't bullied or popular. Just another face in the crowd, just the way she wants and likes it. But life isn't always that nice and easy when a series of events occur. Nevaeh is put to the test to stay the plain jane or revert back to the girl, whom she thought she had locked away. Will she be able to do it? Or will those sneaky, conniving bad boys get their way? ☆

Prologue - Promises

Prologue - Promises.

They are one of the hardest things to make, but also one of the easiest things to break.

I say they are the hardest things to make because I do not make them on a whim.

So much so that I have only, ever made three in my whole life.

One. When I promised my older brother that I would talk to him at least twice a week, when he was shipped off to the military, by our father.

Two. To my mother, never bully anyone. For she was bullied as a child and never wanted her children to do that.

And three. Well, we never speak of that time. Because we all know. Promises are not meant to be broken.

I guess they never got the memo...
