LACEY

Today is my Second Wedding Anniversary, but for me it is more like a normal usual day. So I am working as usual. And like my all other normal days, this day goes by. My husband was so busy and content that he forgot to call me or wish me. But I just sent him a text “Happy Anniversary”. I did my part a small one though.
And don’t worry I got a small but beautiful gift which was kept in front of the main door with a note that says “Happy Anniversary Wife. Regards your Husband” but its not actually from my husband but from My Mother In Law, my sweet MIL. And this is how my day ends.
Don’t pity me. It’s the second time. Me and my husband we barely know each other and we rarely meet. It’s more of a deal than marriage. We both are married but not many know that. People still call me Ms Lucey. Our work place is the same but I doubt if he know that either. As if I am no one to him and it is true I am no one to him and so is he no one to me.
Initially it used to pain a lot but now no more. Why should it pain. I already knew about it and still I agreed to marry him, so, now I should not complain about it. Now when I opened the gift, I saw a simple yet beautiful platinum bracelet. I should call Sera(MIL) tomorrow and thank her for this beautiful gift. She is one of those few who always tries to cheer me up. Unlike my husband.

“Lacey are you still up?” The moment I put my pen down, I heard V’s voice.
“Yes”.
“Lacey I have to go to NJ tomorrow to meet a new client and after meeting I will spent some time with Jack so I will be back day after tomorrow”.
“Okay, that’s good. It’s been long time since you have met him. Be safe and say hello to Jack and also tell that, I miss him a lot.
“ Sure Bye, goodnight”
“Goodnight V.” Well Jack is the annoying cute little handsome brother of V. I miss him a lot. Sometimes I am so jealous of them, they can meet frequently, unlike me and my brother. Anyway it’s time for me to get some beauty sleep.
