The office smelled of rubbing alcohol and bleach when I walked through the threshold.

A typical doctor's office.

I hastily sat in the black leather chair that was in front of his desk. His long black hair went with the "serious hot doctor" look and his blank expression. I began to sweat a storm.

"So Ms. Haven you came for a check-up three days ago?" he questioned.

"Yes, sir. The hospital gave me a call saying to come back immediately so they could do some tests." I responded. I hook my mocha hands together tightly in my lap.

"During the check-up the nurse found that your blood pressure and heart beat was irregular. My vision was blurry so I quickly wiped away my tears and sniffle.

I already knew what that meant, I'm gonna die and there is nothing I can do about it.

Doc looked as if he were going through his head right now then he looked like a light bulb popped over his head. He grinned mischievously. I raised my left eyebrow

"What can't the girl that has bradycardia do?" He asked playfully.

I know he's just trying to make me feel a little bit better so I'll just play along.

"What can't she do, Doc?" I sniffled.

"Have (beep)."

My jaw dropped. I mean, I get why he'd

make a joke like that( teen humor these days🤦🏾‍♀️) but dang, for an adult to say that.

"Wait Doc I hope you're joking bout that
