Fine !! I'll go to the tutoring class.

Mom has been nagging me for the past week to go and study at my uncle's tutoring institute after school. I don't really have anything against studying or my uncle ; but who sane person would like to go to a tutoring institute which is named after you.

Yeah , the name of the institute is "Yumi Coaching Institute". Apparently, I was uncle's favourite niece so he named his institute aftere when I was 3. And now it has become embarrassing for me .

Mom wants me to go there since he teaches really good , and she is really particular about my academic score.

Dad doesn't say much , he tried pursuing me over the phone but in the end left the decision to me.

My dad lives and works in Delhi, earlier we used to live there too. But then he got transferred to aa small town near Dehradun so we all moved here. I never wanted to leave Delhi . Though it is the most polluted city in India but those 3 years I had the best time of my life.

I had amazing friends and the school was good ; great neighbours. I took part in all school activies , was in the school football team and western dance team.

My painting skills got appreciated, but the thing which I miss the most is the mischief. The way we used to pull pranks on the teachers , our unity , the snatching of each others lunch , playing music in the the last bench during the Hindi lessons. Everything, I miss all of it. I still go over to Delhi and meet my friends but you know its not the same .

Moving over to Dehradun its not the same , I can't help but compare it to my previous life. After moving here I closed off , I don't play football anymore , don't dance any more, and don't really make friends anymore. And to top it all the school here really sucks, it is supposed to be coed but the have separated the boys and the girls building , we can't talk to each others , the teachers and the seniors are super strict and its not allowed to talk back to them ( I once did so and now my reputation in the school is really bad). There are no activities for the new students ,the teachers only select the old students . Now I could go bitching about this school for hours and still it won't be enough.

Earlier when I used to live here as a kid I was in one of the most strict schools and being the extremely shy kid I was usually made fun of. So schooling in Dehradun wasn't really my best experience.

Now all I wanted was to pass class 10 in this school with good grades and move to a better school. At least my parents supported this decision of mine.

.

.

Munching away the last piece of chocolate I finally decided that I'll take up the offer of going to the tutoring class.

Miriam: I liked the way the plot was set up and then the relationship progressed. Some may not like the discretion but it all led up to a very happy ending with a bit of suspense leading up to it. Definitely a cliffhanger. Waiting for a follow-up.
