The Fire That Burnt The Rocket- Chapter 1-
"Hey Rocket! I'm back from hunting!" A voice barked, waking up Rocket from his dream.
"Huh?" Rocket asked, his voice was tired and confused.
"Where's Wolflah?" The voice asked, ignoring the raccoon's question.
"Oh. Fire. It's you." Said the racoon. "Wolflah went to the lake for a swim"
Fire pushed the chicken he caught towards Rocket. "Want some?" He asked.
"No thanks." Replied Rocket.
"Rocket." Fire sat down next to Rocket. "You haven't eaten in days. You need to eat."
Rocket looked into the foxes brown eyes. "I don't like chicken." He looked back down at his paws. "I just want berries."
"We don't have berries and we can't go into the Grasslands to get some. So until we can you need to eat whatever me or Wolflah catch." Fire's voice was full of worry for his friend.
Fire heard footsteps from behind him. He turned around a growled at the golden yellow fur behind him.
"Woah calm down. It's me." A deep yet friendly voice said.
"Wolflah!" Fire growled. "Don't scare me like that!"
"It's not my fault you weren't paying attention." Wolflah argued while sitting down infront of Fire and Rocket.
Fire glanced at Rocket then stormed away.
Wolflah turned to Rocket. "How's your day been?"
"Fire woke me up from a nap." Rocket said grumpily.
Wolflah laughed, nudged Rocket with his snout, then stood up. "I'm gonna go get something to eat." He said before walking away.
Eat Rocket thought as his stomach rumbled. I haven't done that in awhile. He layed down and went to sleep.
Rocket woke up in the Grasslands. F-fire? W-Wolflah? Rocket thought. He heard a twig snap behind him. He whipped his head around and saw a bold male lion standing in front of him, his eyes burning into Rockets soul.
"W-who are you?" Rocket asked.
The lion stepped forward, ignoring his question.
Rocket instinctively stepped backwards but he stepped into a rock.
The lion stepped forward again but this time Rocket couldn't back up.
The lion stepped forward once more so they were face to face. The lion raised his paw preparing to hit.
"N-NO! D-DON'T TOUCH ME!"
"Rocket." A voice said.
"NO!"
"ROCKET!" The voice said again.
A paw nudged Rocket in the side. Rocket screamed as loud as he possibly could, then opened his eyes as what was a gold and white blur slowly formed Wolflah.
"W-w-Wolflah?" Stuttered Rocket.
"Yes. Yes, it's me. What happened?"
"B-bad dream..." murrmered Rocket.
"I could tell." Laughed Wolflah. "C'mon. Let's go for a swim."
"Okay.." said Rocket. He glanced around. "W-where's Fire?!?"
"Fire? Oh. He went hunting." Replied Wolflah.
Rocket relaxed. "Oh." He whispered.
As Rocket was swimming, he couldn't keep this thought out of his head: Who was that lion?
