Chapter 1
In the dead of night with the sound of the wind wailing and a few people out in the night. Most being in a bar or at home in the comfort of their beds as they tremble at the thought of being out during the night. In the beautiful mist of the London moon, casting a luminescent glow, she is The Phantom as she never leaves much of a trace. However, she leaves just a dead body for investigators to examine. She stalks her next victim as they were a person that could cause a child that hasn’t developed their body fully to end up in a hospital. They were another drug dealer. She despised them due to her parents. She planned on getting this drug dealer off the streets of London. She reached her arm out towards this man with long curly blonde hair that was covered with a blue beanie. He wore a plaid green shirt and black jeans. As she grabbed his shoulder and looked him dead in the eye she said, in a husky yet raspy voice, “You have the right to remain silent or scream.”
She used her katana and sliced his head clean off. She glared at the dead man as he laid there on the cold ground with his crimson red blood making a pool around the body. She pulled out the crumpled up piece of paper from the pocket of her hoodie and set it down on his chest before walking off.
Taking the back ways and where no camera can see her she gets to her apartment. She climbs up from the fire escape ladder and to her apartment floor.
Going up to the third floor and room 309. She opens her door and shuts it once she enters her apartment. She removed her hood that was now stained with blood. Only bleach would be able to get it out or she could just burn them, which she didn’t have a problem with. She went to the kitchen and grabbed a rag so she could clean her katana from the blood that was on it.
Cleaning the blood off of her weapon. Once done she set it on the counter and went to take a shower to get rid of the blood that managed to get on her.
Stripping from her clothing that was covered in the blood of Micheal Trevers. One of the major drug dealers in London.
Stepping into the shower and turning it to lukewarm, she stood there thinking, ‘Why are the police after me when I’m doing them a favor? I should be getting a medal from the Queen for this!’
Finishing up her shower, stepping out and wrapping a towel around her body. She grabbed her blood-covered outfit and went to the laundry room. She opened her washing machine and shoved the clothes in it.
She heads to her bedroom and got dressed in her pj’s. As the clock struck midnight she fell asleep only to awaken the next morning at six.
The morning was a drag. When she got to work only everyone was talking about The Phantom. Her lips curled into a small smile.
She worked at a small cafe only a block from her apartment building. She just stood there whipping a table clean from the last customers. She would hear small conversations from her co-workers and the customers. She lifted her head to see two men walk in from the tiny bell.
“Any clues about The Phantom?” A tall man with brown eyes asked another tall man with blue eyes. “No Jake they are starting to piss me off!” The blue-eyed man said angrily. They had taken a seat near her. “I’m sure we will get them.” Jake the brown-eyed man said. She walked over to them. “Hello I’m TJ and I’ll be your waitress today. What can I start you, men, off with?” She asked with a fake smile. “I’ll have green tea.” The blue-eyed man said. “Of course, and for you?” She looked at Jake. “I would like a black coffee,” Jake said politely. “I’ll be right back with those for you,” She said.
She could tell Jake was from America. Only because of his accent. She left them only to go and get them their drinks.
She came back with their drinks and set them down in front of them and asked, “Are you ready to order?” “Yes, I would like the traditional English breakfast and he would like two chocolate chip pancakes.” The blue-eyed man said. “Daniel I can order for myself,” Jake said. “I don’t care,” Daniel said. TJ had walked away from their conversation.
She went to the back and told the chef the order.
“Hey TJ, how are you?” A masculine voice beamed out. “Same as always,” TJ said with an unbothered face on. “What are you doing tomorrow?” They asked. “I’m doing shit.” She said. “Well tomorrow my friends and I are going to an Escape Room and I want you to come. You are in some need of vitamin D.” They said. “Dave I don’t need to go to a fucking Escape Room,” She said with a small glare. “I will pay you 23.69 pounds,” Dave said. “40 pounds and you have a deal,” TJ said before taking the food that was ready to Jake and Daniel.
TJ set the traditional English breakfast in front of Daniel and the two chocolate chip pancakes in front of Jake.
“So apparently The Phantom killed Micheal Trevers, He was this big drug dealer.” A female voice whispered. “I honestly think they are doing something good just not the right way.” Another female voice whispered. They belonged to Tiffany and Rebecca, TJ’s co-workers. “Are you serious Rebecca? The Phantom is a murderer!” Tiffany exclaimed. “Well yeah, but they are getting rid of the bad people,” Rebecca said. “Whatever,” Tiffany said with a roll of her eyes. “TJ can you not stare at them please.” Her boss said. “Sorry I got distracted,” TJ said quietly while turning around to face her boss.
Her boss was only 5′7 with long dark red hair. She was sweet and understanding but if anyone ever thought about disobeying her she gets pretty nasty. Her boss was the only one that TJ likes.
“Hey, we all get distracted. Also, you’re getting even paler than normal. Are you feeling well?” She asked. “Yes, I just am not going into the sun,” TJ said. “Only you would not go out.” She said before walking away.
TJ went about her day serving customers that entered the cafe. She got off work at four and made her way to her apartment building. On her way to go home, she had stopped to see the area of her last victim, Micheal Trevers. There was a lot of dried up blood around the alleyway that he had been murdered in.
There were the two detectives from the cafe in the alley just standing and talking. TJ had stood there looking at them lost in her thoughts.
TJ just smirked at them as it seemed that they were bickering. ‘Idiots.’ She thought to herself.
As she was about to walk away from the scene she heard someone call out to her. “Ma’am!” The male voice that called her out said. “Yes, officer? What can I do for you?” TJ asked putting on an innocent facade. “Do you live near here?” Daniel asked. “Yes, I do.” She said blinking a few times. “Did you happen to hear anything last night around midnight?” Jake asked politely. “No, officers I’m sorry,” TJ said.
She then walked away from the scene with a sly smirk on her face. It was funny to her that she could fool the police.
She entered her apartment building only to be greeted by the landlord. She grabbed her mail before heading up to her apartment. She ignored all the people telling her ‘hi’.
Entering her apartment she looked at her mail. Most of it was just stupid bills and coupons. She tossed the mail onto her kitchen counter as she walked into the kitchen to get a drink of water.
She grabbed a small glass from the cabinet above the toaster. She filled it up with the water from the sink. She puts it to her lips and takes a big gulp of it.
Later that night she had snuck through the darkness of every shadow to find the kidnapper that had taken two kids already. She planned on finding these kids if they are still alive and take them to their home to their parents.
The police haven’t found the kidnapper and he won’t stop until he is dead.
She will protect the innocent people of London and soon once London is fine she will move on to the next place until there is no evil in the world.
