Prologue
Its been a couple of months since the day Michiko and I broke up. Michiko West is such a cold but lovely person. She have this scary yet beautiful eyes, long black hair and blood like lips. She is a perfect girlfriend yet I’m not a perfect boyfriend maybe that is why she broke up with me.
“We should break up”
It was a sudden storm that I was never prepared. Her words was like a hammer hitting my heart so hard that it can break into pieces. At that moment I really don’t know what to answer. Without being aware there was a sudden hot water falling into my eyes.
I smiled despite of being eaten by her sharp looking eyes and said-
“If that’s what makes you happy then I’ll go with it”
And the last memory that I have with Michiko is her turning back on me.
My new life started from that breathtaking storm. Starting from that day I distant myself from people, afraid that they will do the same. After you being attached they will leave you like a bubblegum once the sweetness is already gone.
I don’t want that. I never wanted something like that. I want something permanent.
But despite of being distant, my childhood friend,Wendy always keeps me company.
Every afternoon I keep myself busy reading inside the library while waiting for her dismissal so that we can go home together.
After the break up there is a specific corner in the library where no one visit because at first it is scary and very quiet. All you can hear is the pounding of your heartbeat.
But at the day goes by I like it here. It is comforting and quiet. Nobody can hurt me here. This is the tenth bookshelf in the library. Away from the tables and people. Nobody can hurt me.
Nobody.
Until one day. As usual I enter the library with the same people inside. With the same librarian. With the same books. But something is different.
In my favorite spot. There is something that caught my eyes. It’s a letter with my name on it.
