Chapter 1

A sharp piercing pain in my lower abdomen jolted me awake from my rather unpleasant sleep.

It was a pain I had never experienced before. My lower back and hips burned in excruciating pain while my lower abdomen twisted in pain, with a feeling like something heavy is pressing down on my bladder, I couldn't control it as I felt myself begin to pee.

But I was quick to realize how wrong I was. It was no pee, and it was definitely not coming out of my penis. But rather my butthole. And it was a clear transparent fluid that kept gushing out of me going on for a few moments or so.

Utterly terrified of what was happening, my first reactions where I was dying. Cause honestly my very limited knowledge of medicine did not include men having excruciating abdominal pains and ejecting out this much fluid from their anus.

"Levi!"

I had immediately resorted to calling for help. Because try as I might the pain I felt made it impossible for me to even sit up talk more of trying to get up.

"Leviii!" I had called for my brother, even more desperately than I had the first one.

The pain was getting worse. Tears were quickly running down my face, my lower lip tightly bit between my teeth. With a little hope that the little pain I caused as I bit my lip will distract me from the mysterious one down below. But to no such luck.

Finally I felt the rushing sound of footsteps running down the hallway and finally to the door of my room.

"D-darwin?!" Came his confused shouts, before he was quickly by my bedside frantically trying to get me to tell him what was wrong with me.

"What's wrong with you! What's going on dar! Where does it hurt!" All sorts of concerned questions left his mouth but I couldn't find it in me to muster enough strength to answer any of it back.

"H-hosp-pital..please.." Was all I could managed to muster before black consumed my vision and I passed out.

But I only felt relief, knowing I would no longer feel that pain.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"Hang in there dar, we're only a few minutes to the hospital!"

"Yeah am his brother!"

"Doctor! Doctor! Please help my little brother, he's not going to die is he??"

"He's waking up, give him room for air"

"Darwin?"

I awoke to a hospital room, my brother Levi's worried face the first thing I saw. Then my mom's who was next to him and a calm looking man in a lab coat and a stethoscope on his neck. Obviously the doctor.

"Mama..?" I called out weakly, my throat parched.

"My baby, you're going to be alright okay don't worry Mama's here" my mom cried out reached out to take hold of my hand.

With tears silently running down my face I nodded at her before turning back at the doctor who was obviously in a hurry to examine me now that I was awake.

"Darwin Seville I believe?" He asked. My mom and brother making way for him to move closer to me.

"Well am Doctor Jonathan and I'll be attending to you today"

Nodding only, I gave my full attention to him.

"Uhm from your information filled out by your next of kin, your brother I believe, it says you're fifteen?" He asks with a strange expression crossing his face.

"Yeah he is, get to the point please doctor, what's wrong with him? Is it cancer?!" My brother anxiously cut off the doctor, with a look of impatience and fear on his face.

"No no!" The doctor answers with a shake of his head. "Quite the contrary actually" he chuckles dryly before he sighs with a shake of his head.

"Uhm..what wrong with me then?" I ask fearfully.

"Congratulations Mr Seville, you're 38 weeks p-pregnant, and in labour!" He finishes off, and from his uncertain tone, it's something he himself is finding hard to believe.

"What!" Our shouts echoed round the room. My brother's being the loudest.

"I-its impossible doctor what sort of joke is this, I might've been born with a womb but it's dysfunctional, and I only had intercourse once and with protection there must be some sort of error somewhere doc" I tried to say as calmly as I could trying to pretend I wasn't absolutely freaking out at this news.

While I had always known I wasn't like the average boy, seeing as how I had a womb inside of me. And at the age of 12, I had my first period. It was gross, smelly and painful. But thankfully for me it was very irregular. Am talking about 3 months interval before the next. And it only lasts a day, at most two. It was something that embarrassed me to the core. But I had grown to accept my body as it is.

"And besides look at his tummy, does that look like the tummy of a person 9 months pregnant!!" My brother all but yelled dragging up my shirt to show my smooth flat pale tummy. Not even the smallest bump in sight.

"Believe me, am Finding it very hard to believe myself, but all tests we've carried out have shown positive and an ultrasound proving our suspicious sound, and showing the very much mature fetus ready for birth. And from what has been explained his water has already broken and any moment from now his contractions are going to continue. As Mr Seville is male and can't have the child through vaginal delivery so we'll have to perform a cesarean section on him to deliver the baby" The doctor spoke finding his composure.

"And the issue of his pregnancy not showing, this is a rather common condition known as cryptic pregnancy. It's a case in which a pregnant women, or well in his case a man..uhh boy? Isn't aware of their pregnancy until they are in their third trimester or even till they go into labor. They are no signs of pregnancy in their early weeks and even in some cases a urine test cannot even detect it" He continues.

No no no! This can't be possible, I was frozen in shock. My hands unintentionally findings themselves to my flat stomach. Where supposedly a child was. And has been growing for the last 9 months or so.

I am a boy of only 15 years of age, a freshman in highschool. What would everybody think, my friends, my classmates..them. What would my family even think. Wait..with that question in mind I turned to my mom, trying to guage her reaction at the possible news of my pregnancy.

She just stood there with her face going through many sorts of emotions. I could see the worry, the fear, and most vividly the disappointment. I don't blame her. Her 15 year old son, pregnant and about to give birth to a child. Am surprised her only reaction was her slight disappointment.

While she was taking it rather calmly, Levi was definitely not. From shouting at the doctor for his ability to sprout lies and his incompetence, to shouting at me for not telling him I lost my virginity at 14.

I of course was too overwhelmed to answer, and was silently thinking about my life. And how i could've possible ruined it with one mistake. No..I would not think of my child as a mistake. If I really am with child, I will love it with all my heart, cherish it and raise it without he or she lacking a thing in life.

And then like an old friend, I felt the familiar piercing sensation overcome my abdomen once again, but this time it was much lower now, and not mention much much more painful than it was before.

"Ahhh!" I cried clutching my abdomen, with hopes of lessening the pain.

"Nurse!" I heard the doctor shout and in moments, my ward was entered by a few nurses gently but hurriedly putting me In a wheel chair and taking me away to the operation theater. My family right behind me.

"Levi..mom" I cried out, scared for my and my child's life.

"It's going to be okay dar, just stay strong" my brother said giving me a peck in the forehead before letting go.

He was as scared if not more than me from his nervous sharp intakes of breath and very pale face. He looked seconds from throwing up but tried to stay strong for me.

My mom also gave me hug, tears blurring her eyes as she gave me one last encouraging smile and then I was taken away by the nurses.

The pain was more excruciating than anything I had ever felt in my life. But i knew I had to stay strong for my family and I.

I had no vagina so I was obviously only going to have this baby through cesarean section delivery. As scary as it is I was happy to be out under anesthesia, at least to get rid of this pain.

And before I knew it under sedatives, black welcomed my vision once more. And hopefully I get to see the light once again.
