How The Trees Have Grown:

I took a trip through 'my old neighborhood. A town that I once knew. With many happy memories I have. Where my beautiful daughter grew. Oh my! How the trees have grown. It sure has change over the years. New buildings everywhere. Hard to believe how much its changed, since I last lived here. Everything was so young and new, when I lived here way back then. A town full of gentle people. Some I was proud to call my friend. But one thing seems to stand alone. Oh my! How the trees have grown. It may sound silly to others, but not so silly to me. I remember these trees when they were saplings in a row. But then I could not yet see. Oh my! How these trees will grow. Tall and strong they stand today, giving shade through out the city. How I wish that I could still call it home. But I can't, it is a pity. My! I can't believe, how much the trees have grown. Strange how the time has passed, since those memorable days. Filled with love and family happiness. Along with simple ways. But now my daughter is fully grown, with a family all her own. A boy and a girl she raises happily.... "On my! How my 'family has grown." And so I leave these memories behind to start another one. Filled with the certainty of 'new growth. That has only just begun.
