Captive forever

A new day symbolizes a new beginning...

"Darling wake up time for school"my mom shouted. I groaned and snuggled myself closer to my pillow and all went blank once again.

"Lupi wake up" mom shouted once again. This time around my eardrums went into shock cause of her voice. Lazily I got out of my king sized bed and went to take a shower.

The shower refreshed me, I took my time in choosing my attire for the day.

It was a new term of highschool and I couldn't wait to reach school. After like twenty minutes, I grabbed my car keys and bag and went out of my room.

"Are you going to have breakfast dear?" mom asked me when she saw descending the stairs.

"Nope I'm late mom" I replied shortly. Before she could argue I kissed her on the cheek

" Goodbye mom" I said as I left

I threw my bag pack in the back seat and drove my car to school. It took me like ten minuteto reach school. I parked my car in the parking area. I grabbed my bag pack and got out of my car

Students had already arrived they were scattered everywhere , it was the new term after all. I could see new faces.

Well I'm usually a loner.

"Hey Lupiter!"

I turned to see who had called me by my full name. It was none other than Audrey, she was sort of a friend.

" Hey Audrey...How was your holiday?"

" It was so nice...I met this guy...."

I chuckled typical Audrey to talk about guys.

" No need to tell me his name, I'm no fan of such stuffs" I told her while chuckling.

She just shrugged and nodded.

We talked for awhile and then we went to our first lesson,we did nothing important that day every one was talking about their holiday and the teachers asked about all the interesting things about the holiday.

And that's how the lessons passed .

Immediately after the lessons I dragged myself out of class and went to my car so that I could leave.

When I arrived home mom wasn't inside..It was usual as most of the time mom arrived home late. I headed to my room and took a shower after freshing up I rested abit.

When I woke up in the evening I went downstairs to prepare dinner for mom and me.

It didn't take me long to finish making dinner. I arranged the dishes in the dinning table then I went to switch on the television to pass up time.The night was still young but I still worried about my mom...I feel asleep on the couch waiting for her.

"Lupi wake up I'm home dear" I heard mom say . I lazily opened my eyes mom was with a guy. I sat properly and looked up that's when I looked properly at the guy.

He was drool worthy...Damn! my heart skipped a bit as I felt tingles all over my body...he mesmerized me. I couldn't tear my eyes away from him he was built like those ancient warriors. My warrior

Geez where are my thoughts going. I cringed in disgust though not a fan of love I was left dumbstruck.

"Lupi what's wrong" mom asked after observing my dazed state

I turned crimson

I cleared my throat. "Why are you late mom ? " I asked

"Aww sorry dear I had gone to pick Xavier from the airport". That's when I looked at him again his eyes kept me captive.

He screamed danger, as my body and soul seemed to be affected by him.

"Hello I'm Xavier" he had a husky voice just what I needed I cursed under my breath.

"I'm Lupi" I said as I stretched my hand forward for a handshake.

He took my hand in his and kissed my palm.

I blushed a little and he didn't fail to see it.

"We're going to stay with Xavy here for sometime be good to him okay love?"

"Yes mom" I answered

My hand was still entwined with his, his hand felt perfect against mine. I looked at our entwined hands for awhile then I cleared my throat, that's when he also noticed our entwined hands and he let go of my hand and I immediately felt the loss of his warmth.

After that we all are together then Xavier settled in the guest room and we all went to sleep .

I woke up early the next day. After preparing for school I went downstairs and prepared breakfast. Mom and Xavier descended the stairs after sometime.

"Morning mom, Xavier" I greeted them in unison after they had settled I kissed mom on the cheek

"Morning " they all replied

After that we all sat down and ate breakfast in silence.

After finishing I took the dirty dishes in the sink....

Before I could leave mom said " dear can you go with Xavy to your school today" Without much a do I nodded and headed to my car he entered after me .

I started the car and began driving. The whole ride the air was tense between us.

"Um Xavier what are you going to do in our school" I asked trying to lighten up the tension in the car.

" I'm a new substitute teacher at your highschool"

Whatttttt I shouted in my head.

His words left me speechless. I tried my best to compose myself.

"In which grade are you?" he asked curiously

"I'm in the 12th grade". I replied

Good thing we had already arrived at the school compound

Before he got out I touched his hand quickly and I felt tingles erupt in my body I quickly let go of his hand.

"Would you please act like you don't know me?".

"Why so?" he asked not showing any emotions

I just shrugged

He nodded.

With that he got out of my car and headed to the administration. After awhile I got out and went to begin my lessons.

In class my mind was still not fixed on what was being taught by Mr.Harry. I couldn't help but think of Xavier.

The lesson passed in a blur, Mr. Harry left an assignment then he left.

My next lesson was art I liked art,it was actually my best class so far.

When I arrived to the class the teacher had not yet arrived. I settled down

" Good afternoon class" the teacher said as he entered

Shit! Shit!

It was Xavier the sole owner of my thoughts today

" Good afternoon sir" we replied

In real sense only five students took this class, me, Audrey, Ivan, Derek and Megan.

I looked around class and saw that everyone was drooling over him, Audrey's jaw was wide open with drool

I closed my eyes and said to myself I didn't see that

He cleared his thoughts

" Well I'm your substitute teacher for this last term my name is Xavier King. Just call me Mr. Xavier okay"

"For today I just wanted to keep the lesson simple and creative"

"I already know you all just in case.. Now each of you do what you like to do"

We all nodded.

I was delighted cause I liked painting more than anything I took my the things I would need and went to sit at my favorite place at the back.

" I was informed that there only painters and drawers in here so take your time and you will all present to me at the end of the lesson"

We all nodded and got to work.

I closed my eyes to see what would pop out in my mind so that I could put it to life on canvas but all I saw on my mind was Xavier....

Only five seconds left before the lesson ends and I hadn't painted anything. I smacked myself as a sign of disappointment.

"Okay guys time is up come show me what you did".

All went and each was given encouraging criticisms on their work then they left. Only I remained I stood up and packed my things and went to him,as I prayed a silent prayer I didn't want to disappoint him on his first day at work

"So..."

" I'm so sorry Mr.Xavier I painted nothing on my canvas,my mind was blank, I'm really sorry I will paint and show you please forgive me this once" I said sadly as I looked down I couldn't bare to see disappointment in his eyes

" Look at me Lupi'" he said softly, it sounded like a plea like if he couldn't bare not to see my eyes.

I slowly looked up and my eyes found his. I was rewarded with a genuine smile from him. His smile made his eyes twinkle making him look boyish. I smiled back in return.

"Don't worry I will be patient Okay?"

"Yes Mr Xavier"I replied more camly than before.

"After classes today just leave I'm going to buy a car"

"Okay" I replied

"You can leave now dear" I nodded then I left him as I was walking that's when his last sentence came into my mind, he had called me dear. I found myself blushing profusely. I ran to my next lesson so that I could clear my mind.

After classes I left right away and went home.

After taking a long shower I went to my special room for painting . I began painting the one person who has been in my mind for sometime, Xavier.

I was so lost in the painting that I didn't realize when Xavier entered my room and came to where I was.

"Is that me?" he whispered in my ear

"Aaaaaa" I shouted in shock as I fell to the floor but he caught just in time but due to my panicking I slipped again and this time we all went down. I landed on top of him. I was on top of my teacher how awkward.

"I'm sorry Mr.Xavier" I said looking embarrassed

"Call me Xavier when we're at home or alone" his voice was soft and sexy and his eyes looked intensely at mine I couldn't tear my gaze from him.

"Okay! I'm sorry Xavier"

" It's fine"

After staying like that for sometime, he finally let go, I stood up quickly.

"I'm going to clean the room, would you mind leaving?".

He came closer to me and whispered in my ears

"I like that painting" he said softly. Before I could reply he left the room. I was left with my own thoughts and slowly began cleaning the mess I had created in the room.

After I had finished cleaning I took a moment and looked at the painting I was painting. It was my best piece so far, anyone with common sense would know that it was Xavier. I took it and went to put it with my other collections.

I was too tired after that I went to my room brushed my teeth and went to sleep.

The next day I woke up a little bit late so I prepared in haste and left in haste for school after I saw my mom and gave her a hug.

At school I headed straight to my first lesson. The teacher was no where in sight. I took out my phone plugged my earphones on my ears and put on Hold On by Lecrae.

I was so lost in thought when Audrey shook me, I removed my earphones.

"Yes?". I asked

She sat next to me and began blabbering nonsense. She was truly a nuisance after like ten minutes of non stop blabbering , she said something that caught my attention.

"The teacher who came yesterday is the guy I met in the holiday. I love him, I love him awhole lot Lupi and I will do anything to get him and have him for myself"

I was left speechless....

"But don't you know that it's forbidden for a teacher to be in a relationship with a student"

"Nah I don't care" she replied with a shrug

"But Audrey......" she cut me off

"No buts Lupi cause I have already decided. I want him and I'm going to get him whether a teacher or not"

With that statement she left me alone with my thoughts.

The conversation left me tired. I was sure of one thing, I had a crush on Xavier and if I don't watch out I'm going to fall deeply in love with him and make enemies with Audrey and other girls in school.

Good thing the teacher came and the lesson started.

At the end of the lesson I was so exhausted I hadn't eaten since the day before. When I got out of class I walked a few steps then I saw Xavier ahead....

My eyes failed me and closed completely

I opened my eyes slowly and looked around I was in my room.i was feeling very weak and Xavier was sleeping on the couch he seemed to be exhausted.

I must have fainted I thought to myself. When I tried sitting my back ached I gave out a painful moan.

Xavier woke up that instant and came to my side.

"How are you feeling right now Lupi?".he asked me tenderly his voice was soothing to me.

"I'm feeling weak"I murmured

"Sleep a little more"

I nodded as I closed my eyes I was out before I knew it.

I woke up later feeling a little better, Xavier was not around I got out of bed and decided to go take a shower.

After the shower I wore my pajamas, it was dark outside. I took a novel and laid on bed ,I began to read to pass time. A few minutes later Xavier entered with a tray of food.

He came and sat on my bed

"I have brought you some food, you need to eat a little so as to gain strength".

I didn't have an appetite for food but I couldn't bring myself to say no to him. I gave him a small nod.

I took the tray of food and began eating.

After like forever I finished my food , he took the tray and left.

I got out of bed and went to brush my teeth after that I went to lay in bed just as I was doozing off. I heard a knock at the door

"Come in"

Xavier entered and came to stand beside me

" How are you feeling now?"

"A little better than before"

He gave out a long sigh.

"Your mom is not coming home today, she got an emergency so you are my responsibility till she returns".

"Thanks for everything Xavier, but what's wrong with me?".

"You're just tired and a little stressed also you didn't have food in your little stomach".

I gave out a weak nod. He went and sat on the couch

"Sleep well dear,if you need me I will be here"

I wanted to protest but I had no strength.... sleep overtook me

I woke up later that night feeling very weak and my body temperature was high I couldn't help but shiver in cold.

"Xavy.." I called weakly

Xavier woke up from his sleep and came next to me looking worried.

"I'm feeling cold" I murmured. Within a matter of seconds, Xavier laid beside me and pulled me closer to him giving him his body warmth. I felt safe I allowed myself to fall asleep again as he whispered soft words in my ear and his whole body engulfed mine ,I fit perfectly next to him.

The sun rays woke me up in the morning, Xavier was not beside me, I felt a little disappointment.

I got out of bed and went to take a shower after that I wore a big shirt and leggings and went outside my room.

I found a heavy breakfast waiting for me.

A note was attached to the table

Hope you are feeling better today. I have prepared breakfast for you. Eat and no school for you till you get well. Xavier.

I smiled happily. I sat down and ate my fill.

Then I washed the dishes after that I spent the entire morning watching movies Netflix.

A message popped in my phone, it was already afternoon.

Hey, have you eaten?

It was unknown number.

Who are you?

It's me Xavier.

Did you steal my number 🧐

Yup lovely.

Okay

I'm coming home to cook for you.

Okay I'll be waiting.

After the conversation I decided to sleep a little on the couch.

" Wake up sleepy head, dinner is ready".

I groaned, I had slept for a longtime.

As I sat I realized it was only two of us. I missed mom

I was also nervous being with him alone.

He must have noticed

"What's wrong Lupi?"

"Nope nothing is wrong"

"Sure?"

"Yes but..."

"Yes?".

"When is mom coming home Xavier?".

He smirked at me.

Oh My God, he looks too handsome when he does that.

"Do I?" he asked curiously

Whatt don't tell me I spoke loudly.

"Yes you did" he replied while laughing. I hit myself on the head.

He continued laughing.

"Stop messing with yourself Lupi" he said while looking fondly at me.

"Okay" I murmured while trying to hide a smile

After a moment of silence had passed

"Are you worried about your mom?" he asked . I nodded

"Don't worry she will come back soon, I'll take care of you for the time being".

"Okay" I replied softly

He must have sensed my disappointment cause he took hold of my hand.

"I promise you I will treat you well lovely , give me a chance okay?".

I nodded a yes.

After we went to eat then we talked for awhile. Then we both retreated to bed after sometime.

I had this feeling inside me that he was someone I had lost before......

The following I also rested....

The next day I woke up early and prepared for school then I went downstairs. Xavier was in the living room drinking coffee.

"Good morning Lupi"

"Morning Xav..."

"It's fine if I call you Xavy right?". I asked

"Of course it's fine, I like how you say my name" then he winked .

I turned crimson red. I was turning a blushing mess around him.

" Before I leave I want to see you eat" he said

I murmured a small yes as I went to eat breakfast, Xavy was surely a chef I ate till excess .

"Do you want to go with me?" he asked as I was finishing the dishes.

I thought about of the rumors that would spread at school if students saw us together and most of all Audrey who was infatuated by Xavier, she would my life a living hell if she even heard of my crush towards Xavier.

"I will just go with my car" I replied

"Okay" he replied but he sounded disappointed.

He left first and I left after him.At school that day nothing much happened. It was the end of the week.

I loved weekends. I left school and headed home after arriving home I took a shower wore a comfortable shirt and jeans then I left home once again.

I drove to the cemetery. I got off my car and went to the grave stone of my dad

I sat down on the tombstone of my dad and reminisced on our past memories together. I really missed my dad he died in a car accident.

I stayed there for awhile, time passed by fast I bid goodbye to my dad and left.

I drove slowly till I reached home. It was already dark. I found Xavier restless he was moving back and forth in the living room.

"Hey?" I spoke to him.

He turned when he saw me his face shone with relief, in a matter of seconds he was infront of me, he pulled me to him for a hug, his heart was pounding loudly. I soothed him with my hand.

"I'm fine" I told him softly

"Where were you?". he asked while tightening his hold .

"I went to visit my dad"I said

I didn't want to say more and he didn't push me to explain.

"I was worried sick about you, do inform me another time".

"Okay" I whispered

With that he removed his grip from mine.

We went to eat just as I was finishing arranging the dishes in the kitchen there was a knock on the door.

I went to open the door and to my surprise it was Audrey on the door.

It was pitch black outside. I put a smile on my face.

"Hello Audrey"

"Hey Lupi"

"What's wrong dear?". I asked

"I thought you were alone at home I came to see if you are alright" she said

"Oh thanks I'm fine though"

She entered inside the house and started roaming around as if she was searching for something or someone. She was acting weird, freaky weird.

Thank God! Xavier was not around or else it would have been something else.

After like ten minutes she left promising to visit me soon. Geez she lived like thirty minutes away.

When she finally left I gave out a long sigh

"Xavy" I called

"Yes" he replied he was already behind me, his closeness was making feel uncomfortable.

"Good night"I whispered

"Good night to you princess" he whispered huskily in my ear.

I went to sleep soundly.

I woke up late the next day it was weekend after all.

I took a shower then I wore a black crop top and leggings, my face free from makeup I went out of my room to begin my day.

I ate breakfast with Xavy then I went into my painting room.

I spent the whole day painting.

"Hey come down to eat after you finish you haven't eaten the whole day"Xavy said after knocking on the door

"I'm coming down soon" I replied

"Okay" he muttered as he left

I had a nice job on my new painting. I stored the painting then I went to my room and took a shower, I wore my cute pajama then I went to eat.

Xavy was very caring, I was having a hard time controlling my crush on him, he was my teacher for heaven's sake!!

Thoughts of him we're really giving me a hard time, I knew nothing about him but I still liked him I felt like I had known him forever.

He seemed to be in his early twenties while I was turning seventeen tomorrow.

He made sure I felt safe and secure with him. We watched together a movie till midnight, At the end we were both tired.

We went to sleep right away.

The next day I woke up feeling very lazy. I decided right then I'm not getting out of bed the whole day.

I slept again till noon ,then I slept some more.

When I woke up again it was already dark outside, I got out of bed and went to take a shower.

When I got out of my bathroom, on my bed laid a beautiful dress with it's accessories also a note that said to wear it and come out.

I took the dress and wore it .....

After I had finished preparing myself I couldn't believe how stunning I looked.

I got out of my room and went downstairs. I found Xavy in the garden he was wearing a tux I couldn't help but state, he looked good enough to eat. The sight was spectacular.

When he saw me he stood up from his seat and came towards me.

He took my hand in his and kissed it tenderly

"You look perfect dear..."

"Happy birthday Lupi" he said as he kissed my forehead.

Typical me I had forgotten that it was today.

"Thanks Xavy"

He took me to my sit , the meal was already served .

The food was completely orgasmic.

We talked and laughed to our heart content during the meal.

After the meal he gave a wrapped up gift.

"Awww thanks Xavy can I open it now?"

"Please do so" he replied

Eagerly I opened it what I saw inside made my heart jump with joy and wonder.

It was a beautiful necklace with a gold heart, it was so beautiful, tears fell from my eyes.

"Can you help me put it on?" I asked

"My pleasure "

He stood up from his seat and came behind me, he put it on me .

"You look beautiful" he whispered huskily in my ear

"Thanks" I said slowly.

After that we talked till midnight that is after he had sung for me happy birthday I was so happy.

Mom had bought for me a brand new laptop and my outfit for prom. I also talked to her she promised to come back home soon.....I went to sleep with a smile on my face.

I hate Mondays I woke up the next day a little bit late, I prepared myself for school and left my room like always Xavy was already down he was drinking his morning coffee. I wished him good morning which he replied with a heart warming smile.

He left shortly afterwards and I left a little bit later.

When I arrived school I realized that everyone was in a hectic mood. When I asked around that's when I realized that a new student had arrived at school and it was none other than Mike Star , the famous singer who also happened to be my long time ex boyfriend.

The news of his arrival really took me by surprise, my happy mood vanished. While I was on my way to my first class I met Mike with his minions. When he saw me he smirked, I never liked his smirk.

I just passed them and went to class.

All lessons went well that day and I left school in a good mood and to top it all I found mom at home. I ran to her and hugged her

"I missed you mom" I told her lovingly

"I missed you too baby"

We talked about this and that for sometime, before I left her and went to take a shower when I went downstairs again I found mom and Xavy in a deep conversation, it was weird but I was no fan of eavesdropping, so I just went back to my room. I just sat on bed and played with my phone.

Suddenly unknown number texted me.

Who is this?

It's me Mike

I cursed

So um.... what do you want Mike?

I just wanted to greet my ex. Is that bad?

No it's not

Thanks to the Lord we were chatting he simply disgusted me , I don't know how I dated him.

So how about we meet and catch up for the lost times?

The nerve of him to ask me that

No thanks Mike.

He didn't reply for some time

You do know that I know your secret right?

I trembled at the mere mention of it

I'm going to ask you again..Will you meet me so as to catch up for the lost times?

Yes

With that I switched off the phone, tears welled up on my eyes, as they threatened to fall.

Only losers cry I said to myself, I washed myself then I went downstairs for dinner.

I ate in silence and left the living room shortly after wishing both mom and Xavy good night.

The next day I left early for school, since I couldn't avoid Mike forever I prepared myself both mentally and physically. I arrived at school pretty early .

I drew and did my assignments and after doing everything I needed to do. I relaxed and waited for my first lesson.

My classes began shortly afterwards, good news is that I didn't have any classes with Mike or his minions so far.

Too bad I found him in Xavy's class

Everyone was already settled and Mike was already there, Megan was actually drooling over him he was good looking yes but he didn't surpass Xavy he still had a long way to go.

When I looked at Xavy,I saw a flash of anger in his eyes but he quickly covered it up.

The lesson was wonderful with the exception of the stolen glances I got from Xavy and Mike.

I was thankful when the lesson ended.I left in a hurry but Mike ran after me.

"What?" I snapped when he caught up to me

He laughed. I wished to smack the life out of him

"Let's go for lunch....."he paused for a moment

"You do remember your promise yes?"

"Yes I do" I answered

He took me to his luxurious car and off we went to the hotel of his choice.

After we arrived I was grateful when the place we sat was somewhat private. I didn't need anyone to notice I was with a star.

We both ordered and soon after our food arrived. We ate in silence throughout the meal.

I was grateful for that.

"Thanks for the meal Mike" I said

He looked at me for awhile

"Sure, just so you know, I want you back Lupi, no matter what you aren't going to run away from me this time"

I acted as if I had heard nothing about what he had just said

"Would you please take me home now?". I asked him

"Sure".

He left money on the table then we left.

As soon as I had arrived home I got out quickly after mumbling bye to him.

Inside I found mom resting on the couch.

"Good evening mom"

"Good evening dear"

I stayed with her for awhile before I went to my room and shortly I was out of the world like a log.

The next day I woke up feeling energetic, as I was descending the stairs I saw Xavy in a deep conversation with someone on the phone

"Yes Mr.Blues, the game has just begun"

I didn't even understand what they were talking about. The call ended just as I reached down.

When he saw me he looked haunted but that emotion didn't last.

"Hey"

"Hey"he replied

My heart raced when I saw that some bottons were not yet closed showing off his masculine chest that was drool worthy.

I couldn't deny the fact that I liked him, but with Mike on my tracks I didn't want to cause Xavy any trouble, and I would do so if I continued getting closer to him. I would try my best to ignore him.

I left hurriedly, leaving him surprised on what's wrong with me.

When I arrived school, few students had already arrived. I just began studying exams were near and I was busy with my studies. I continued trying to avoid Mike and his minions whenever I could.

Not forgetting Xavy, who I tried to avoid but it was proving difficult since we lived under the same roof.

As days passed I became more quiet I had no friends to hang out with , so I spent most of my free time painting.

Finally the exams began. Though I was bright I was getting tired of the exams.

Mom was as busy as a bee provided that is what she told me.

I continued avoiding Xavy and it seemed like he was doing the same thing.

When we bumped into each other at home we would talk a little and go our separate ways.

At school people were more serious now due to exams. I remained with only one term to finish highschool. It was going to be a tiresome one I believed.

After the exams we were given a short holiday of seven days.

I spent my holiday painting like a maniac. When the holiday ended the results were already out, I had done well, the first position was mine to be exact.

To celebrate my success, mom took me out on a date. It was so much fun. We had lots of fun, we returned home very late at night the next day I woke up so late I didn't go to school.

When I went to school the next day I was feeling very energetic. Only if I knew what awaited me there..

I arrived early at school, I went to class to prepare for my first lesson.

I met Audrey in class she was in a bad mood.

Long time no see I thought to myself

"What's wrong Audrey?" I asked

She looked at me with anger and resentment

" I thought you were my friend?" she asked

"Yeah I am what's wrong?"

"If so why didn't you tell me you lived with Mr.Xavier ?"

I remained stoic for awhile

"I'm sorry Audrey I couldn't tell you" I said softly

"Please help me you know I love him right?"

More like infatuated I thought to myself. Good thing no one else was in class it would have been weird.

"Please help me win him over" she pleaded

I gave her a reluctant nod, she hugged me happily then she left me with my thoughts.

How was I going to help her win Xavier over if I myself was already head over heels with him.

I had no one to blame but myself. I was stuck between my heart and my promise to Audrey.

The question in my head that kept hurting me was that' 'Who was I betraying Audrey, Xavier or my heart' and what hurt more was that I already knew the answer.
