Thoughts of a Teenage Girl

There are three words that touch people's hearts and break them as well. "I love you." Those three words brought me to tears. My mother said them to me, my father said them to me, my sister somewhat said them to me, and my soulmate said them to me. Each time, there was a new meaning to them I discovered. Love isn't something you can learn by hearing other people talk about it, you have to experience love yourself or else you'll never know the true meaning. Love is not just an emotion, but it's also a motivation that drives us. Sometimes it might lead us to do bad things but that doesn't mean it didn't influence the way we thought. Whether it's love from your family or even a friend, love is so strong that it creates chaos where is steps. Those who find their true love or soulmate feel like the universe is trying to tear them apart. You must push through the troubles, but you must always remember the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Even if you do push through, other barriers might keep you from one another, and trust me when I say, I know I've lived through it all. I'm still in the middle of my problems with my lovely soulmate, but because love drives me to be the best person I can be, it makes it hard not to cry when times get tough. I'm fighting a battle that has turned into a war because my soulmate's love for me and my mother's love for me aren't compatible. They both love me very much, they both want me to be safe, but I have to come to a decision. Which love? I'm not an adult, I am a teenager so living without a mother will be tough, but she gave me tears even though I didn't want to cry because her three words were just enough to push me over the edge. Those three words have all sorts of meanings, but her's was through care and comfort. They are just enough to make me smile when the clouds fill the sky and tears flood down my face. Those three words are, I love you.
