Rosa's Point of View

Darknesss, it's all that I see. It took me a while to realize I'm back in the basement, well it's also known as my room. God, my body hurts again, I probably passed out from the pain.

Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Rosa Kingsley-Hudgens and I'm 25 years old. I know crazy, what would a married adult be doing in a basement. Yep, you read it correct, married.

Let's just say I'm not normal. Its a relationship gone wrong. Alexander Hudgens, he's 27 years old, we were a normal couple. But 5 months into our marriage everything turned upside down. He started with just the cold and silent treatment. Then he moved everything I own to our guest room. Weeks later, he started verbally abusing me. Then it turned to physical.

First, I thought he was just stressed out. I couldn't even decipher the feeling that rushed through me when he first back handed me. But soon realized that I was already stuck in my personal hell.

I still love him, it hasn't changed. I just wished he hadn't too. But, I've already made a decision, this will be the day I leave him, for good.

The sounds of footsteps breaks me apart from my thoughts. As the lights open, I see my husband, Alex looking down at me in disgust.

"Hi Darling, how's the chains holding you?,"he smiles and says a bit too sweetly. "Hope you suffer for what you've done. Ever since I met you all I had was bad luck, " he screams at me.

I kept my head down avoiding eye contact, not wanting to anger him further.

"Get up here you bitch!" he yells pulling me up with my weak body I don't know for how long I can survive anymore. It's been two years and three months since this started.

"Go upstairs and clean the whole damn house. Make sure it's spotless. I'll be going out for a meeting, don't cause any trouble." he says and goes to unchain me.

He then turns around and heads upstairs as I follow him like a lost little puppy. As soon as we come out, I started cleaning the living room, hoping I won't get in any kind of trouble today. I have a mission to accomplish. This place is practically a mansion, I have to make sure that I clean the whole place and won't pass out.

Alex then turns back to look at me before he leaves.

Let's hope he doesn't come home sooner than expected. I have to make this plan work.

Alexander's Point if View

Fucking hell, that meeting was pure bullcrap. The other company would benefit may more than any of us. At least, I can blame and beat the shit out of Rosa as soon as I get in. I thought as I pull up into the garage.

I don't even know why I do this to her. I know I should stop but I can't. Its like a drug to me, its addicting.

Well I guess she just needs to deal with it, until I figure my way out of it.

Stepping inside, the place is very quiet and clean I checked the whole house just to make sure she followed my orders.

I wonder where she is though. I go down to the basement to check and what I saw made my blood go cold.

She gracefully laid there in the cold hard floor, a knife in her chest. She was aiming for her heart. She was soaked in her blood. Even her wrists were bleeding.

Beside her was our wedding picture with a note.

I come closer to her to see her smiling, she really wanted this. Opening her letter, it was clearly written with shaky hands. Her tears and blood stained the paper.

Though her letter expressed her love for me, she wanted, no, she needed to be free.

How cold hearted have I turned? I'm a monster, I held a beautiful rose in captive while she wanted to bloom. This is the consequences of my actions and words and there's nothing that I could possibly do to take it all back.

I couldn't believe myself, I killed my beautiful innocent Rosa, il mio fiore.

I held her for the last time knowing even if I called an ambulance it was far too late to save her.

"Regret always comes in late," she used to say, but it is only now I understood.
