The ball
Our realm was made of 5 different creatures and they are named according to there power and elements they have, there are 3 other different realms; the humans, the old masters and the night creatures. Our realm is where most creatures stay and reproduce and make a living as we have most of the resources that they need. Every year my father host a ball were every creatures are invited and it was finally here.
The Silas family has been in our castle for 3 days now. I have tried my best to avoid Ryle and I'm sure he was also avoiding me. I was currently feeding my dragons, Ryker and Ryder, they mean so much too my like my own sons. Dragons aren't as big as the use to be anymore due to humans hunting and killing them but they are still powerful and we are able to control them, so we take good care of the ones left. I had two it was a naming day gift from the River family, they are the sixth family, they bread all the animals in our realm.
My father and mother were to busy getting ready for the ball and Mr Silas was also busy making sure the security are ready. And I wasn't still talking to father after he didn't allow me to bring in the humans children saying the it not safe.
Hearing two squeaky voice that I recognised as I was walking towards the west wing hallway. As I got closer it saw that it lady Alice and Victoria my best friends. Alice was a werewolf and Victoria was a witch. I saw that they were talking to Ryle, trying to avoid him and turning back around to where I came from but it was already too late. 'There she is alena come we were just talking about you" turning around I made my way towards them "Alice victoria Ryle didn't see you there" I was trying not to make eye contact with Ryle "I'm sure you heard us" he said forcing me to meet his eyes "one would think you were trying to avoid us" he was looking at me intensely making me feel naked in my dress.
"Why would she want to avoid us we are her friends silly" Alice said laughing being to friendly with Ryle.That made my blood boil but that how she is very friendly with everyone but I couldn't help but be jealous "exactly now if u don't mind Alice, Victoria I think we should go get ready for the ball we only have very few hours left" making my face hard so they can see that I don't want to be questioned "yes your right see you at the ball my ladies make sure you save me a dance alena" Ryle said smirking before excusing him self.
We were finally in my room I was taking a bath while Alice and Victoria were helping each other with there hair. "What do you think he meant when he said 'make sure you save me a dance alena' does he think I will be waiting for him" I was mad and annoyed he said it so calm as if he knew it would irritate me " I'm sure he was just trying to asking you for a dance" Alice said "but he should have asked probably he knows she is the princess and has other noble men to dance with" Victoria said I knew she would agree with me, she is uptight like me. Alice has always been open minded. "Enough of boy talk let's get ready we have 2 hours and I still haven't done my hair" trying to change our moods before we have an argument and Victoria cured Alice again like last time, she cured her to not shift for a week and for a werewolf that is like a month it was quite funny when those two argue.
I heard the door open then I heard my mothers voice "girls if you would excuse me we have to get alena ready you can go to the room next door and have the maids help you get ready" she is so annoying I can't get ready with my friends now "mother I don't need to your help or the maids to help me get ready I'm not a child anymore" I said coming out the bath before I made it to my bedroom they were already gone just my mother and three maid were there. "Alena what are you doing taking a bath by yourself" she said as is she I did I killed someone " mother I can take my own bath" rolling my eyes at her "I don't have the time to argue with you we have 2 hours till we have to great almost half the kingdom and you have to look your best" walking into my closet as she followed behind me I let my towel down and was about to but on my robe when I heard "alena let me see your body looks as if you put on a bit of weight on your hips I told you to stay of the chocolate and cookies" taking to me like a little kid I can't believe her she does this all the time " not everyone likes to starve their self like you mother now leave I need to get ready like you said" I slammed my closet door in her face. I was so angry could curse her "ignore her my lady you look lovely now sit down let's get your hair done" Elle my oldest made said as she noticed I was looking at myself in the mirror, I just nodded.
Almost 1and half hour later I was ready I was just putting on my crown, I have to wear one for stupid important events. I was wearing a white and blue dress it was long and free but hugged my breast.
My hair was braided and had sliver flowers on it.
"You look lovely my lady" Elle goshed "thank you Elle" I do look good and I loved the way she did my hair she always knows what makes me look good. I had on little makeup, just lipstick and mascara. I'm not really into makeup life that. The knock on the door shocked me it was probably Raymond I knew it was time to meet my father and mother. We have to great everyone it was traditional. Frist we welcome everyone then we eat then we dance. My mother and father have the first dance and then I have to should my dance partner I don't know who in the world i would choose. There is Issac he was a breeder and quite boring and smells like old books, then there is Ralmon he was a hell demon I liked him he was nice to look at but didn't have much talk in him and Ryle he is perfect.
I made my to my father and mother knowing they were behind the curtain and everyone was that the other side down the stairs.
"There she is you look beautiful dearly" my father said kissing my cheek "don't you think you should have wore a less reliving dress alena" of course she would say that before I could answer Raymond spoke "ahmm it time my royals" he knew what he was doing.
I had to stay at the side of my father as we walk out and I made contact with thousands of eyes looking at us "welcome my people we are grateful to welcome you to our home we are honoured that you have all come to enjoy this day with us make sure you eat till your full we have plenty for everyone and have fun we will have dinner in an hour" I could tell he was nervous even though he has done it a hundred times I couldn't help but think that would be me in a few years. I didn't realise my parents are already down the stairs greeting their friends I was standing just looking trying to find my friends. As I made my way down I could feel the eyes one me both awe and jealousy mostly for the girls.
I tried to ignore them and make my way to Alice and Victoria I saw they talking to some friends 'alena you like beautiful' a warm yet distance voice said in my head I was probably going crazy when I heard Ryle "I love your dress" he wasn't even looking at my face but at my breast "thank you, you look good yourself" he was wearing a black velvet suit and "my face is up here now down there" i said trying not to laugh "sorry got distracted" he he face looks pink as if he was embarrassed "come I want you to meet someone" he took my hand and lead me to a girl she had dark brown hair and was wearing a beautiful black dress she was very beautiful "princess Alena this is Mila Blake she is human and has been in our realm for years now" I was too stunned to say a word so it was true he was in love with a human girl. Suddenly it the air was too hot for me "it a pleasure to meet you my lady Ryle told me a lot about you and I am grateful for your fathers generosity to allow me to be here your home is very lovely" she was too lovely for me to hate her "my pleasure Mila and I should say you look lovely tonight I would love to get to know you but I need to great my other guest perhaps we can talk later and you can tell me how you and Ryle met" why did I say that tell me how they met, I will probably rip her head off before she finished. "Alena wait" I heard Ryle voice he was coming after me "how can I help Ryle have any more human girls to introduce me too" I was so annoyed with him and hurts that he has a girlfriend let alone a human one "don't be silly alena I just wanted you to meet her she is a very good friend of mine" he looked hurt like I accused him of something "well I met her and she is lovely are you happy the human girl is beautiful and nice I'm sure you both will make wonderful human babi.." before I could finish he grabbed my arm and pulled me to the dark hallway "are jealous alena is that it you don't have to be such a bitch about it she is just a friend and you have no right to be jealous I don't own you anything we are just friends" I was being a bitch but I didn't care I wanted him to know he hurt me even if he doesn't own me anything. He pushed me against the wall I could feel his hot breath on my face but i couldn't see anything but his face the moon was shining of it. I was very aware that his body was against mine which made my tummy flutter "do you want me alena is that it, tell me anything you want my princess" he was too strong for me I couldn't say anything my mind was to focused on his body against mine. 'Kiss him' I heard the warm yet distant voice in my head again 'kiss him' it was so soft and sounded very far away like a melody. I didn't even realise I was pushing my head towards his lips.
