the new life

The noise of the plane taking off and landing, the commotion of people going in out, all the normal things in their appropriate places but still the three of them felt a chill down their spine.

Just as they checked out of the airport security, they breathed into a slight sigh.

It has started.

But still there was something which didn’t feel right. All this normality and they were uneasy. Ace felt it first. Watching her fidget the other two started to get the point.

“Her gut feelings never go wrong.” Said Ria.

“Right!” exclaimed sash.

There really is something wrong as Sash traced along Ace’s line of sight. Ria joined along. They were trace of a few men in black positioned at different stations. They were armed of course, assassins at that.

They couldn’t be sure, but for sure they meant harm. Nevertheless they had to escape. They knew they were under their radar.

The team spotted them waiting for the cab, positions attained, ready to compromise the situation, suddenly a bus passed and they disappeared with it.

Chaos. Normality. Astonishment.

Emotionless they signalled their boss. “They got away. We lost them.”

“Are you sure?” asked the boss.

“We are positive sir.” He replied, dejected. They retreated.

On the other hand the trio was outside on the crosswalks heading towards their villa. They were tired and a bit alarmed. They had responsibilities.

“Huh! Finally!” exclaimed Sash, crashing down on the couch. Eyes sore, body sore. “It was a hell of a long flight.”

“I’ve had enough for today. I AM EXHAUSTED.” She proclaimed begrudgingly.

“But why isn’t anyone welcoming us.” Questioned Ace. “I mean there is not a single soul.”

“Ah! We are early! – Sash

“What? How? Together said Ace and Ria.

“Obviously we are super fast my ladies.” – Sash

“Yeah! We are.” – Ria. Bumps fist with Sash.

But what do we do now? All of them thought.

“Gurgle!!” all the stomachs present there was experiencing the great Irish famine.

The trio headed out for dinner as it may be 2 or 3 hours before any maid showed up. These ladies were perfectly fluent in English, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, but they just had a tad bit difficulty in speaking Korean, yet they understood it perfectly. They headed into a restaurant. Ordered something in jiffy, too tired to look at the menus thoroughly.

People around them looked at them ordering in Korean a little faulty but satisfactorily. The girls were rather dangerous but looked really cute as they waited for their order impatiently, fiddling within themselves.

The food arrived and they filled themselves up to the brims as if hunger wouldn’t be bothering them after this.

Back at the villa, they were too unenergetic, untidy and exhausted to even unpack. Naturally, each of them retired to their rooms and fell asleep as soon as they laid their head down.

First night, in a new place, the trio had each other’s support LIKE ALWAYS. There was peace.

Next morning.

Ria “fuck! We don’t have water?”

Sash “what about my green tea?”

Ace “chill out guys, let’s go to the supermarket. Get your coats and wallets I will tell the driver.

Ria “oh yeah! Shopping.”

Sash, “finally, my green tea. Run along ladies.”

At the supermarket, as always the happy soul Ria was pestering Ace with her snacking options, who were already buying the necessities from her shopping list. Sash sighed in relief in embrace was her green tea.

After gathering a handful of snacks and after much fooling around RIA turned to Ace, “hey! Should I buy all this? You know....... my midnight hunger pangs.” Ria blinked her puppy eyes at Ace, who broke into a peal of laughter.

“What! What! What!” Sash joined.

Amid her laugh Ace said,” just look at her,” and burst into laughter again.

Both of them laughed at her and Ria repeated her question like a doll again.

Suddenly, her eyes tensed Ace and Sash also stopped abruptly.

“What happened dear pup”? Sash.

Ria stared blankly at a distance and raised her eyebrows.

Ace “we are being followed.”

Sash “let’s take a detour.”

RIA “these morons need to be taught a lesson, she rolled up her sleeves.”

“Let’s go get the bill.” Ace.

Sash and Ria kept looking around, while Ace got the receipt of the purchase.

They subtly headed out of the store letting the man follow them. They started walking aimlessly until they reached the jam packed roadways of the locality.

“Oh! Crap, there are too many people here.” Ria, Sash nodded,

Ace held Sash’s hand and led them through some stores towards a quieter locality with less shops and vehicles. Only 3 to 4 cars, some bikes and black Mercedes at the signal.

They kept on walking suddenly Ace stopped with a jolt.

“Well, shit! Looks like we would have to end this soon.” Ace. “I was having fun.”

“Brace up ladies.” Sash. “We are about to go on a ride.”

Ria already was ready with her gun and dagger. Sash with her mini guns pulled out from under her thick shrug from behind her jeans. Ace dropped the bags and positioned her hands on the daggers on her thighs concealed under her long coat.

The dark alley exuded a chilly cold air view much darker than ever.

The men thought they had cornered their victims. “Some lowly foreign bitches. Can’t wait to touch them.”
