Chapter 1
I immediately got up from the bed and quickly took off the uniform in the cabinet.
“Maaaa, where is my pair of socks?” I irritably asked my Mom.
“I don’t know, just find it in your cabinet,” she replied.
Like as usual, I’m late again in my first subject. And there’s nothing new about it, even today is the first day of our classes.
“Ma, Pa, I’m going to school all ready. Byeeee.”
I’m in a hurry walking to school, hoping that I won’t be getting late even just today.
“Bea!” I shouted to my Best friend as I saw her in the middle of the pathway.
“Hey Xen, this is the first day of our class but you showed up late again huh?” she said so bitterly.
“tsk. I think there’s no reason for me to wake up early. You know, I spend too much time at night watching k-dramas. And…” I was about to tell her what I’ve watched last night but then she suddenly grabbed my hand.
“Oh come on Xen, it’s already 7:28 am. Just continue that loooong and dramatic story of yours later, or else, Mr. Santos might not let us enter his class for one hour. So come on walk fast!”
Before I forget, let me introduce her. She’s Bea, my best friend since grade 7. She’s 17 years old, has one ex and is currently single. She became so bitter when Dan, our classmate, broke her heart 5 months ago. And I think there’s always an awkward relationship between them inside our Classroom which looks so funny.
“Good mo…”
“Ms. Paz and Ali, you’re so early for tomorrow’s class huh?” Mr. Santos said sarcastically as we enter his class late.
We’re about to greet him but then, he spoke immediately that makes us stop.
“uh! sorry Sir,” we said at our lowest voice.
“okay come in and just find vacant sits.”
And as a response to what Mr. Santos said, we just nodded at him and start to find our comfortable sits.
Yes, Mr. Santos was known to be as a strict teacher but then we can’t deny that he’s also so considerate sometimes. Yes, sometimes…
