One: Silena

Silena awoke to the sound of waves and owls echoing through her room. Every morning her dad woke her and her brother this way to remind them of their parentage. As if they needed any reminder, her parents literally saved Olympus. Not once, but twice. Her parents were demigod legends. Many people called her dad the most powerful demigod since Hercules, and she had to agree. He was pretty powerful but it was weird knowing that the person that insisted on painting their entire house blue was the same guy that defeated the Titan Lord and helped the other Seven defeat Gaea.

“Silena, You’re going to be late!” Her mother yelled. One of her pet peeves, tardiness, was not allowed in the Jackson household.

“Be there in a second!” Silena yelled back as she jumped out of bed. She rushed downstairs to see her family already eating breakfast. The smell of blue pancakes filled the kitchen as her family laughed and ate their breakfast.

“Percy, You practically used a whole bottle of syrup on your pancakes.” Annabeth chided.

“How many times do I have to tell you? I don’t drown and neither do my pancakes,” Percy said as he gave her his trademark lopsided grin. She rolled her eyes playfully and smiled.

It’s almost unfair how in love these two were. No amount of fighting (arguing or physical) could break these two apart. Percy remembered Annabeth when he had no other memories but his name. Like seriously, how cute is that?

“Alright, I have to go in early,” Annabeth smiled as she stood from the table, “Someone almost took down the Senate House and they requested that I fix it. It needed some remodeling anyways.” She walked over to Percy and planted a kiss on his lips before leaving.

“That is disgusting. I am trying to eat!” Jason grimaced.

“Well, bud, we can do more disgusting things than that,” Percy grinned as Jason began to look a little green, “Such as, cutting Medusa’s head off. That was a good one.”

Silena looked at the time and signaled to her brother that it was time to go. By the look on his face, she doubted he needed any push.

On their way to school, they met up with a few friends and eventually split off into their own groups. Despite being the children of two of the most talked about demigods in the 21st Century, only one of them was really popular. Jason looked just like Percy. He had the shaggy, jet black hair and sea green eyes. He had Percy’s charm and smile. All three characteristics guaranteed to make girls swoon and make the guys wish they were him. In addition to this, Jason was extremely smart. He was the full package. Silena on the other hand, inherited her mom’s blonde hair and grey eyes. She inherited Percy’s attitude, but she was very quiet around anyone that she was not friends with so no one would ever know. She was fairly smart, but she just never enjoyed school. She would rather be at the beach playing with the ocean life; they seemed to love her.

Silena gazed at the Little Tiber wishing she could leave Camp Jupiter and see the world. Alas, she was unable to do so by herself. Sure, she loved Camp Jupiter as it was her home, but she could count on her two hands the amount of times that she had left the camp. She got so caught up in her thoughts that she had no idea that the foot traffic had stopped and ran right into the back of a tall boy. She lost her balance and fell flat on her butt. He immediately turned around with a confused look on his face.

“I am so sorry,” Silena said quickly and looked down at her feet, “I-I guess I wasn’t watching where I was going.”

The tall boy laughed and extended his hand. “It’s alright. Happens a lot more than I’d like to admit. I’m Ben.”

“Silena.” She smiled as she grabbed his hand. He was much stronger than she would have imagined. With his long golden locks and tan skin, Silena guessed he was a child of Apollo.

“Nice to meet you. I’m new here so I’m just trying to make friends.” He laughed nervously.

Silena's group of friends eyed her and the guy before giving her a smirk. She rolled her eyes at them before turning her attention back to Ben. “Do you know where the office is?” She asked him.

“I have no clue.” He responded.

“Well, follow me.” She led him across campus into the main building. As they were walking by, Ben stopped and stared at two pictures hanging in the foyer.

“Are these the Seven?” He asked in awe.

“Yeah they are.” Silena said awkwardly.

Ben must have taken a good glance at both pictures and then at her because his next question was not fully formed. “You kinda-.... Wait are you...?” He asked as he looked up to her.

“Yeah, that’s my mom and dad,” Silena answered as she pointed them out, “And my mom designed this school so that’s why her single portrait is beside the picture of the Seven.”

“You look just like her.” Ben said. And that was all he said because he started to roam.

Honestly, Silena appreciated that. People hear the names Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson and they automatically want to be her "friend," at least for a day or two. They always want to hear about her parents’ adventures and never really talk to her. She loved her parents but she sometimes wished they weren’t as legendary as they were. It made making friends a bit harder for her. If she’s being honest with herself, that is a big reason why she would love to spend more time in the mortal world. No one would know or understand the importance her parents.

She caught back up with Ben and guided him to the front office. “Here we are.” She stated.

“Thanks, Silena.” He smiled.

“If you need help or get lost later, just find me. Okay?” She told him.

“Alright,” He smiled, “Catch you later.” He walked inside and Silena turned to head to her first class.

The day was nothing special for Silena. Her day was filled with meaningless classes and small talk with her friends. Occasionally she would catch Ben looking at her and she would give him a wave. Wow, how had he not been attacked by all of the girls at school yet?

As Silena was sitting through her last class, she saw two guys walk past the door of her classroom. Both with that shaggy, jet black hair (one might have had a bit more gray if she’s being honest). Dad? She thought. Soon enough, someone knocks on the door and her father sticks his head in the door and asked to see Silena. She immediately got up and hurriedly walked outside. When she got out, Jason was already standing beside her. Her dad looked at the both of them with a terrified look on his face.

He took in a jagged breath before telling them, “Your mom is missing. And I think I know who took her.”
