The Accidental Encounter
Nancy loves to wander. Nancy also loves the woods. So Nancy decided that she was going to wander around the woods. Nancy was really excited because sometimes when she wanders she finds cool stuff. She was hoping she would find something in the woods. So off she went, running into the unknown woods.
As Nancy was wandering she found a big, Big, BIG tree. Nancy wandered if anything lived in the tree. With Nancy’s curiosity, she just had to climb it and figure out if someone did live there. It was a struggle for Nancy because she was a fairy that was late on getting her wings. But she didn’t give up. Nancy made it to the top of the tree.
What she saw was amazing. She hadn’t seen anything like it. It was like a whole different world up there. She figured that she just had to stay and see EVERYTHING. Nancy started to look around. The tree branches were filled with all sorts of different fruits and berries. There was this huge pound in the middle of the tree with little rivers streaming over to other parts of the tree. The pound also grew berries, and it had flowers and lily pads the size of her. She just knows that there must be someone that lives up here. So she maintained looking.
Eventually she found this giant nut hanging, and it looked like a door shaped hole. She was being curious again, and decided to find a way up. She thought and thought again, trying to think of a way that a fairy like her, without her wings could possibly get up there.
Suddenly there was a weird area, and a few rustals of wind. Nancy wasn’t so curious about what was living there anymore. She knew that this thing that had sensed her arrival, had not welcomed her. As a fairy Nancy had a few weapons to keep her safe if she needed them. She took them out and started to turn back the way she came. In a split second a creature appeared in front of her. She was scared… but she was also brave. She put on a “not in the mood” face, jumped into the pound, swam to the bottom, and stayed there for a bit.
Although Nancy didn’t yet grow her wings, she was a special fairy. She had abilities like strong vibration senses, her pupils could expand larger than usual meaning great night vision, and of course water breathing. She sure is special, this is why she doesn’t mind not having wings. She is grateful for what she’s got.
The creature was shocked, it had never seen a fairy stay underwater that long. He assumed she was dead and left the area, thinking out loud, what a crazy girl that is.
Of course with Nancy’s vibration sense, she could hear the words it said through the water. Nancy is the type of fairy who gets defensive towards herself when she is insulted. Soo.. Nancy dove out of the water on top of that thing, pinned it, and said
(Nancy) “what did you call me”.
With a surprised thought
(creature) “I called you crazy, and as I see now, I am completely right.”
(Nancy) “what makes you think i’m crazy….”
The thing looked at her hinting her to think about the situation. She then looks at it and herself… she quickly gets herself off of the thing, with an embarrassed look on her face. She asks..
(Nancy) “who are you”.
(creature) “you tell me you don’t know who I am?... No wonder you have been so blunt.”
It said with a sleepy sigh. Nancy has a confused face as she tries to recognize it.
(creature) “ahh, I see the problem. You fairys only learn very few of my forms… maybe this will help.”
The creature then raises both its arms, there is weird purple light shining from its paws, it pulls its arms down and apart quickly. After Nancy had passed out from shock, he had no choice but to take her somewhere safe, which meant his home as much as he didn’t want to, it was his fault after all.
