Chapter 1 "Hostage Situation"
Pam decided that despite the fact she had given up on her relationship with Roy, they still had hope. She believed they knew each other too well and that a fresh start would redress their relationship. After breaking up and then getting back together, Pam thought things were going to work out with Roy. Things took an unexpected turn when Pam revealed to Roy that she and Jim had kissed. Roy was as mad as a hornet. He completely overreacted. Pam announced to Roy that she never wanted to see him again. Jim sat in the office unaware of what was to come. Dwight was yelling angrily at clients on the phone as usual and Michael was bragging about his relationship with Jan. Kevin was counting his M&M’s and Ryan was passing time with Kelly in the annex. Dwight hung up and complained to Jim, “These stupid people know nothing about beet farms. Ugh.” Jim asked Dwight “Wasn’t that a sales call? Why were you discussing beet farms? Dwight gave him a death stare and said “Everyone loves beets Jim. Don’t be a idiot.” Jim smirked as Dwight continued to complain.
Roy barged in the office, spotted Jim, and said “How dare you?! You think you can just walk up to anyone and kiss them? Pam screamed, “No!!”. Jim was startled. He looked at Roy, unable to answer him but he finally speaks, “It’s not what you think. We were drunk and it meant nothing. Really”. Roy refused to listen to what Jim had to say and pulled out a gun and pointed it at Jim. There was an ominous feeling in the room.Everybody was panicking and yelling at Roy to put the gun down. He told everyone to keep quiet as he yelled at Jim. Jim, absolutely terrified, said “Woah! You don’t have to do this! It meant nothing Roy! I was drunk and it just happened! Put the freaking gun down Roy”. Phyllis slowly approached Roy and said, “If you leave right now, we won’t tell anyone that this happened. No one is hurt yet and we won’t speak of this”. Roy screamed loudly and demanded Phyllis to back away or he begin shooting. Michael sneaked behind Roy and ran out the office but Roy ignored him. Michael quickly ran to the elevator to leave so he could get help. Unfortunately, he got stuck on the elevator and was unable to call the cops because he left his phone back at the office. Jim begin to speak again but before he could say anything, Roy knocked him out like Floyd Mayweather with the cocked gun and everyone shouted loudly at Roy. Pam made her way over to Jim and put his head on her lap and tried to help Jim gain back consciousness. Roy possessed a gun and everyone in the office was too scared to try to stop the beast like man. scroll down
Dwight knew he had to do something to stop before things deteriorated. He screamed and he pulled out a sharp katana from under his desk and ran towards Roy. Dwight was swift and he made a small cut across Roy’s arm and Roy immediatley dropped his gun. Dwight then quickly picked up the gun and knocked Roy out with it. He showed fortitude during this bizarre event. He loudly announced to the whole office, “Everyone calm down and help me carry Roy’s cold blooded body into the Conference room!” Everyone refused but Ryan stepped up and helped Dwight. Dwight scrutinized Jim to check if he had a concussion. Everyone was shocked and was trying to process what had just happened. Everyone quickly gathered in the conference room and was trying to figure out what to do next. Jim gained consciousness and tears were falling from Pam’s face like roses petals falling from a dying bush, as she tried to comfort Jim. Kelly and Angela calmly told Dwight to call the Police but Dwight thought he could handle the situation. Everyone yelled at Dwight explaining he would adulterate things . The gun was brought in the conference room by Ryan. Roy gained consciousness and stared a hole through the loaded gun about three feet away from him and since everyone was paying attention to Jim, he picked it up. He intended on shooting Jim, still ignorant of the consequences of his actions, but Dwight noticed Roy quietly picking up the gun attempted to attack him and instead Roy pointed the readied gun at Dwight and pulled the trigger.
